Get rid of the horror of abortion, and everything else will follow as God once again blesses our beloved nation.

I'm part of the lawyer class, but nevertheless, I would like tort reform on the state level where it belongs. Other than amending the jurisdiction of the federal courts (which will have no impact on state law), what is the constitutional basis for national tort reform?

Minds if I add another? Reforming the nonprofit corporation laws in this county. There are over 850,000 so-called nonprofits in America. Many are just in business to enrich their handlers, and/or push their own political agenda or just to put some company they don't like out of business.
This is a serious problem and not much attention has been paid to it. Nonprofits should be charities, not something like Judicial Watch/ADL/PETA/various green organizations etc, etc, etc.

- Tort reform would be good.
- I'm interested in tax reform (I prefer the NRST myself) -- Hastert has said that tax reform will be a 2005-6 priority.
- Getting partial privitzation of Social Security as a first step toward phasing the program out altogether.
- Improve immigration control and border security.
- Find terrorists and kill them.
If all that happens, I'll be a pretty happy camper (and then I'll have to draw up a new list...)

Descretionary Spending is at 1% already, as opposed to 15% when Clinton was in office....

3. Cut back governemtn spending
4. Stabilize Iraq; coerce peace from Syria and Iran
5. Promote a culture of life

Mnadatory ID for every voter nationally. It is complete BS that every person doesn't have to prove who they are for the priveledge to vote. It is impossible for sane individuals to oppopose this. I know democrats will never go with that because I said sane individuals.

One problem...econemy tanks, the Fed is not collecting taxes to run gov't...what do they do? Bring back income tax Historically, consumption is far more stable than income (people will dip into savings or borrow in lean times, and save or pay off debt in "fat" years).

Currently unfunded FedGov unfunded liabilities are estimated by the WSJ to be >$70 trill ie 2X all privately held wealth.
We must take immediate corrective action or face financial disaster.

Election reform.
- Eliminate same-day voter registration.
- Eliminate motor-voter.
- Require voters to register far enough in advance to permit cross-checking of registration lists across state lines.
- Automatic disqualification for anyone who is registered in, say, both their home in New York and their winter condo in Florida, or both their home town and the college town where they currently reside.
- Require voters to show photo ID at the polling place.
Right now it's harder to buy a pack of cigarettes than to cast a vote. This needs to change.

I was just adding to the list. I definitely think your #1 is top priority. In fact, if Bush really wants to stick it in and twist it, he should be talking to Rehnquist right now about his retirement announcement and potential nominees to take his place.

As the ECONOMY grows, the Fed pull sin more money...and its projected to grow faster then the Def., thus making us be ok...
