American Jews need to get with the GW program. They have four more years to do the right thing by this great friend of Israel. Among his other positives.

Carole doesn't know how to fit into Idaho, just like Kerry. She bought Robinson Bar Ranch along the Salmon River east of Stanley in the 1970s and the first thing she did was cut off a long-time right of way across part of the property - not the way to "fit in." I think the husband she moved to Idaho with OD'd (also not another way to "fit in").
Kerry and wife (along with Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Winn) got into trouble trying to divert part of the Big Wood River in Sun Valley to water the lawns around that relocated English barn that they live in. More examples of bigshots moving into an area and thinking local rules and customs don't apply to them ("Do you know who I am?"). May go over in Cambrdige Mass or NY but don't try that crap in the intermountain West.

sorry but I just don't find her music all that stimulating.. just because her music friends record her music doesn't mean I have to like her musically..

Carole King should put out an album with Yoko Ono - that would be cool.

Maybe it's just me, but Carole King looks an awful lot like Tah-ray-za.

She just doesn't get it. In my 35 year marriage, I am the one who tells my husband who and what to vote for. Not because he is stupid; but, because he is too busy working to study the issues. He knows I am a political junky and he values MY opinion. Neither of us need to keep our vote secret from each other. We love and trust each other in all things.

She was just a kid (15 or so) with no music "friends" when she sold her first songs. Recording Talent beat a path to her door for years before she recorded herself. She certainly has not been coasting on one disc. You don't have to like it to acknowledge her talent. As others here have pointed out, her talent (or yours) has nothing to do with making what she says meaningful. And, pulling others down in this manner makes the one doing the pulling look smaller, not the target, at least that's how I was raised to think.

I've always found the habit of tearing someone's talent or career down because of what he/she thinks to be childish and accomplishing of nothing. They don't seem to mind tearing down our beliefs and values. In fact, many of them relish denigrating conservatives. Personally I find it very, very difficult to enjoy the "talents" of anyone who is outspoken against my beliefs. It's just me; but, I'm not going to give them any of my money to help them further their warped, immoral values.

Carole King is a talented and good hearted person. Only problem is she thinks liberal programs are the answer and backstabbers like John Kerry are fine candidates.

I agree. There are are bunch of folks and companies who will never see a dime of mine because of their big or dirty mouths, but that is not the issue here. Talent is talent no matter what the politics of the "artist". We can all choose to support them or shun them.
My whole point is that we should outclass the bastards, and knocking someone's success in one area to hit them in another is not the way to do that, regardless of what their tactics are.

This year, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, conservatives and others are coming together, not just to vote but to volunteer for John Kerry and local Democrats. You have to wonder: did she really think this was happening?
