Dear Sirs,
You people in the British media have no idea how ridiculous you appear to us in the US. You think we are fools? We know exactly what we are doing in the US and why. Things might not be perfect, but life seldom is. Here in the US life is about as good as it is gets on God's green Earth and really, we don't care what you think of us.
We stand for freedom - individual freedom and freedom from government. We believe in God over humanism. We believe in low taxes. Most of your freedom in Europe (and the UK, because I know you are "not part of Europe") is lost by your high taxes and intrusive government. We also understand the threat of the Islamic terrorists - a threat your country will probably become more and more familiar with in the near future - unless we manage to fight that war for you as we have others in the past.
Bush is not an eloquent speaker but so what. He's a good and decent man. There is much he needs to do on the domestic side of the equation, but because ours is a government Of the people, By the people and For the people, WE will make sure those things are done, as well as what needs to be done about terrorism. Once again, we will move forward in spite of the foolishness and shortsightedness of our "allies" across the Atlantic and the idiocy displayed daily by media outlets such as yours.
Thanks for reminding me, once again, why 1776 was a great year
