Buchanan put it well. To have the panel say that becuase Bush won he has to move closer to the losers postion is downright disgusting. If the Dems want so much to be "united" let these bastards do some movement. They could give up on partial birth abortion and not lose much of their "precious" right. Gay marriage, hell they could probably get a consensus on civil unions, but no, the want the whole enchilada. Compromise is only what they can get the other side to do.

You've got a very good point. Zell Miller struck a chord with tons of Democrats when he said that "he didn't leave the party, the party left him"! A moderate is a moderate -- be they Democrat or Republican. If given the choice of a slightly conservative moderate party or the screaming far left, whacked out freak show party, guess where they'll go?

Our job is VERY simple. We have to show these Zell Miller Democrats that they have LOTS more in common with us than they will ever have with the Michael Moore and Jane Fonda Show. We do that job well and the Democrat Party is toast in 10 years or less?

Look on the bright side.

If the idiot liberals decide to open the ball, you'll be right close to the fun.

With me,the targets would be all used up before I could even get within range. :(

I was worried that Republicans might gloat too much over this victory. Now I realize that only a Democrat can be arrogant in defeat because their too stupid to see the truth.

If the Democrat party implodes because it is so marginalized to the left, what will replace them? An American Socialist Party? I have a funny feeling that if the Democrats go away, a new party to the _right_ of the Republicans may emerge.

Exactly! Compromise to a Democrat (and the media) ONLY happpens when a Republican gives up on his/her principles...or gives in to a Democrat demand. These people are unbelievable; they still don't comprehend why they are losing.

Perhaps it is time for a Republican outreach program to start recruiting thos blue dog conservative democrats from the membership.

I think that's already begun, and I think we're seeing the results.

Also keep in mind, one of our favorite hero's, good 'ol Ronnie Ray Gun was a Democrat until his party left him.

I see this as a significant change in our country and for the better.

I am very proud to be an American tonight and I'm proud of my fellow citizens that decided last night to take their country back into their hands for what they believe in.

While this was a bitter and hard fought election, it had to be in order for people to truly understand the importance and the issues that were at hand.

I imagine Bush will have four Supreme Court appointments which will be a wonderful thing to have the Supreme Court interpreting the law of the constitution and not making opinions.

It is a good day for America and remember, be joyful, be happy, but do not gloat for the victory. Keep our party open for those that share our same core values. It is the way for us to assure a long-term commitment to America and to the success of the Republican party. We have room for more.

***I don't think there is going to be a Democrat civil war, I think we are going to see the Moderates jumping ship to the Republican party.***

My forever stubborn democrat sis in law called me tonight to admit that she voted for Pres Bush yesterday. She said the people running the demo party make her uneasy. I was stunned - had given up on converting her.

"a democrat civil war-the radicals against the moderates"

After arguing over who gets to wear earth tones and then taking the global test,I'm guessing they will be too tuckered out to fight.

When Clinton was elected or reelected, did the media sit around saying how he had to govern? Did they say he had a mandate? Sure they did, he still has a mandate as far as these elitists are concerned.

Juan Williams was doing the same crap on O'Reilly, I turned him off he was making me want to puke.

Tony Snow was very gentle with Juan and still showed him for a ranting, sloganeering idiot. I laughed my butt off when Tony just leaned back in his chair, looking bemused, while Juan and O'Reilly traded nonsense.

Remember these are cowards...but this fact does not mean they are not violent. These are the folks who placed nails in trees to injure/kill unsuspecting lumbermen using chain saws.

Their definition of war means someone with aids will invade your Sancturary on Sunday morning in order to spit on the parishoners....

Translation: We in the liberal media, for the umpteenth time, declare war on George W Bush and the Republicans.

Over the past year they have given it their best shot and been proved impotent.
