I guess that "with us" beats the alternatives.

European allies alienated by President Bush's first four years in power offered Wednesday to let bygones be bygones,

I'll be they do!

Notice how it says "first four years in power," not "as President of the United States." Saddam was in power, W was elected.

Memo to Europe: Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.

They are more than welcome to step up to the plate and support the conservative platform. Of course, I doubt that is what they intend.

Losers hoping to still wind, that is their mantra......

Go away losers, now it is our turn to pass some legislation!!!!!!!

World tells Bush it is ready for new beginnings...

"New beginnings" smells a lot like "Fresh Start" to me. And I thought we could only get that from JFnK.

French President Jacques Chirac, in a congratulatory letter, said he hoped Bush's second term "will be the occasion for strengthening the French-American friendship."

You know what Jack? After Iraq we're coming for you.

In looking at this sudden attitude of reaching across the table to Bush I was struck by the thought that these euroweenies really did think they would bring down this President.
I think the Gore/Florida situation really harmed Bush's first term, Gore convinced all of our enemies/allies that Bush was selected not elected. This led to a lack of legitimacy for Bush or at least allowed these countries to treat him as less than legitimate. The onslaught of the 2004 Presidential campaign allowed every slimy Democrat running for office to pile on. These world leaders took this as a cue to not work with our President, treating him despicably.
This election not only erased this perception, it let the entire world know that a majority of the American people have great faith in President Bush and trust his decisions in guiding our country. When you dis our President, you dis the people of the U.S.

Perhaps after a suitable offering of gold and silk, followed by the public genuflection of Schroeder and Chirac in front of W, we can consider moving forward.

Zapatero, who angered Washington by withdrawing Spanish troops from Iraq, stayed up most of the night to watch as Republican red crept across the U.S. electoral map.

Stayed up most of the night? Let see, Spain is about 9 hours ahead of PT, we closed the polls about 8 PM, well never mind.

If The Euros want a new beginning, just tell them to fall in behind the leader.

ROTFLOL!!! Guess we made our point with all them thar votes folks!! Whoooo Hooooo! The Euroweenies are shaking in their boots. This is way tooooo funny.

Now what was that Kerry was saying about Bush HAVING TO MAKE CONCESSIONS TO OUR ALLIES - looks like it's the other way around to me.

According to Rudi - he went to Europe recently (for Bush). When the weenies complained that Bush needed to be more aware of their issues and their values .. Rudi said he explained to them that they need to see America the same way; being willing to find out what our issues and our values are also. Oh that Bush .. here he is telling the allies - you want out friendship - be a friend first!! Awesome!!

"European allies alienated by President Bush's first four years in power "

Actually, our European "allies" alienated the President. It was their decision to disrespect him.

aying they want to work with the new administration and seeking, right from Day 1, to get the new White House to listen more to overseas opinion.

What hubris!
OK, you won and we were completely mislead by the rabid anti-American news from your own MSM. Based on that disinformation we lied, ridiculed, belittled, and sabotaged all your efforts. We accepted bribes from Saddam while laughing at your gullibility out loud and in public. We huffed and chortled and lead our own populations to nearly universal hatred of you, your beliefs, and faith.

But now that you've decisively won re-election, now that is clear to us that you really do have the support of your people, we are willing to forgive you and be friends again, but you have to do what we tell you this time....

Screw them. If President Bush decides that it is in our national interest to re-engage this pack of hyenas, it will be on our terms and in our time.

You have missed a perfect opportunity to shut Jacque, now sit down button your yap and listen to what you have to do...

What's French for "eat ****"? Or for "too little, too late". Or, "one thing you could do is stop making covert business deals with dictators under UN sanctions."
