Evan Thomas on "Imus in the Morning" - "They took Kerry's cell-phone away from him twice."
"Imus in the Morning" program on MSNBC | November 4, 2004 | Evan Thomas

Posted on 11/04/2004 3:27:35 AM PST by snarks_when_bored

Evan Thomas was just on "Imus in the Morning" on MSNBC. He's starting to spill his guts on the stuff the MSM hid from the public about John Kerry and his campaign.

First, Thomas admits that Kerry's staff took his cell-phone away from him twice, in order to prevent him from calling hundreds of people to decide what he should think about a particular issue. Imus adds that Kerry called him, Imus, on more than one occasion asking for advice.

This information was apparently not deemed newsworthy before John Kerry might have been elected President of the United States.

Next, Thomas candidly describes Teresa Heinz-Kerry as a self-absorbed hypchondriac. Whenever she spoke to gatherings during the campaign, she was boring and concentrated only on herself. (Of course, we knew that, but what we see is that the MSM was holding back from describing the kind of disaster that even they knew Teresa would have been had she become First Lady.)

More 'revelations' will doubtless follow.

Biden so wanted that Sec. of State job so he could travel on gubmint planes and not have to subject himself to the embarassment of setting off the airport metal detectors with the plate in his head.

Praise God for saving us from what would have been this horrible nightmare of a man....and his nutbag wife.

Now they should check her into the Betty Ford clinic for politically connected substance abusers, and get her off the white gin-soaked raisins. Maybe W could give her some pointers on sticking to a 12 step plan, too. Nothing like a reformed lush to help a current lush.

Imus adds that Kerry called him, Imus, on more than one occasion asking for advice.

I find this hard to believe.

Imus is a mumbling, bumbling idiot.

He has nothing to offer an elitist snob like Kerry, other than perhaps advice on how to score some blow or which brand of whiskey you can get the most shots out of for the purchase price.

Imus the Anus wishes someone would call and ask for his advice.

These dumbass journalists, like Anus, er, uh, Imus and Hunter Thompson and Dan Rather, are so damn full of themselves.

Americans don't like bloody bull-fights.
None of Rove's pro-Bush critics (and there are many) were calling for a bloody bull-fight. Just the facts, mam. Nothing but the facts.

There was a mountain of facts. They didn't use them.

Will the hypocritical MSM hold themselves to the same standard they held the President to? They accused him of lying and deceiving about WMD in Iraq yet at the very same time they were not reporting on obvious character flaws with Kerry and his wife.

They are telling their audience 'we duped you' - 'we weren't honest'. I'm thinking of documenting a case againt the MSM based on amissions like these that they cannot be trusted.

During the early "dark hours" of Tuesday the only thing that kept me going was to think how Thereza would act as the first lady. The writers on SNL had to be throwing stuff on Tuesday.

Kerry is toast...his own party will bury him...a prime example of eating their own.

Why not? The will kill and consume their own babies on the off chance it will bring them health.

Kerry should be forced to divulge his record in the Navy by submitting the form 180 requesting full disclosure of his Navy records. Surely he somehow can be made to do this since he really is an unindicted felon that should have to pay for his acts during and after the Nam era.

What was irksome too was his being referred to as a soldier. He was in the Navy friends, where everyone goes to sleep at night in a bed. That is not to take away from sailors (I was one) but a soldier has a lot rougher and more dangerous time of it than any sailor other than Navy pilots who have to take off and land on a moving, bouncing airstrip.

I too, hope he resigns his set

He'd have to get his set back from his drunken wife first.

Rice Butt is worse than fair game, as his peeps see him. Anyone that really knows him doesn't like him--sees him for the arrogant, condescending, pushy, dismissive, know-it-all-ing, using, climbing, name-dropping, PHONY, wanna-be-ing, lying-about-wierd-stuff, out of touch, dorky BAFFOON THAT HE IS. His peeps had to engage in DAILY, MAJOR, LIP-BITING, in order to not expose the USER for exactly who he is.

Rice Butt's peeps saw him as just THEIR PAYCHECK and SPRINGBOARD TO POWER. Nothing more.

Now the DEAL'S OFF, and the GLOVES ARE OFF.

His Dorkness will NOW and FOREVER FOREWARD recieve daily, endless doses of what he has dished out to The Lessers, and will be treated the way he has treated HIS "CHECKBOOKS" (rich widows.)

THE USER IS NOW THE USEE. THE HUNTER HAS BECOME THE HUNTED. Heh heh.

They don't report this stuff and guys out there - like O'Reilly - who pretend to look out for the little guy, try to force this clown onto the vast American public. It upsets me greatly also.

I don't see how Kerry will be able to stay in the Senate for the rest of his term.

Why not? He's still a member while he's been absent most of the term so far. Besides, you're implying that he has some honor.

Hell, that Senate paycheck is his play money.

this horrible nightmare of a man....and his nutbag...

NOW, lets not go completely overboard on Kerry. Okay, he is a bit on the horrible side, I'll give you that. And as a president, he may have been a little bit like a small nightmare, I agree somewhat on that too. But I really don't agree on, ... uh, what was that third thing you called him?

I saw and heard this person Doris Kearns Goodman before she committed the literary felony of plagiarism. For awhile that took a lot of wind out of her sails. But the MSM allows time to heal all wounds suffered by wayward democrats.
