I heard some of them played this AM on F&F--I thought they were a spliced tape. I can hardly believe these are for real.
This man has truly lost it--and they think that Bush is inarticulate! If he said 1/2 these things people would think it had lost his mind!
Doesn't CBS still have rights to the Gary Moore Show's Goodnight Song that they could recycle at a time like this?

We should have a contest for the best FReeper "Ratherism".
I'm partial to this one from colorado tanker in reference to the media's relianced on Zogby's biased poll figures:
"But it blew up on him bigger than a Pali suicide belt."

Rather is exhibiting that debilitating disease that afflicts Cronkite.

It sounds like Rather's script writer got a hold of an LBJ era version of "How to Talk like a Texan" from a used book store and feeds these lines to him so that he would sound folksy.
To: evets
Maybe he could take over for Doodles Weaver's old show.

Someone send this to Snopes. I want them to "authenticate" it (actually I just want them posted for all the world to see, I heard them myself on election night).
Tell them you got it in an email.

I too stuck with Rather on election night. I took great joy and comfort as he became visibly more anxious and depressed.

I rather put on a wooden bill and go out a peck sand with a chicken, that listen to that guy. Really the sad thing was that DR was reading a script.

This is the kind of crap that made Dan famous. This is like a parody of an old time LBJ type Texan.(He even does train songs on Letterman) It used to fool some of the people some of the time. Now it's just pathetic.
