25 rounds from a Vulcan cannon is milliseconds in time.
A shorter time than a human could press and release a trigger.

USAF shooting up a school ....
What are the chances Robert Fisk (a journalist who Osama considers "fair") is all over this like white on rice?

Schools are usually unoccupied at 23:00 hours, and during daylight hours, anyone smart enough to qualify to pilot an F-16 could probably recognize a school-even from 7,000 feet.
On the other hand, private dwellings are often occupied all night long. Thus prudent home owners in the area would put their homes on sale , at make an offer prices and move into a motel immediately.
Considering that this firing range has operated since world war 2 with this being the only reportable incidence, I could be persuaded to allow a current home owner to dump their burden on me, if my bid is accepted. Always happy to help out.

The little woman and I were fishing by a railroad bridge across the Wabash river several years back, when all of a sudden our field of vision was filled with a fighter jet. The sound lag gave us no indication that he was comming. He scared the sh#t out of us for a nano second. I mean he was on the deck. I know they need places to train, but that kind of stuff is hard on old Vets.

Maybe he knows that they are teaching COMMUNISM at the school and he just was upholding his constitutional oath to protect the constitution from enemies both foreign & domestic.

You know if someone vectored him in on the wrong target who knows. I hear that they can train a fighter pilot to fire even through clouds with his gun and strike a target on the ground.
Lets not be too fast in hanging the pilot.

I knew a WWII vet who blew up his High School. He was first generation German whose family sent him back to Germany for secondary education during the '30's. He later graduated from Princeton and joined the Army Air Corp. When the war began he was sent to the European theater and flew a bombing mission over the town where he had gone to High School. Intelligence had cleared the school as a target as the Nazi's were now using it for military purposes. He said it was a mixed feeling to blow up his old school but, like all of his fellow pilots, he got his assignment and did his duty.
Great war story though...

Had a guard unit from AZ show up at Fort Knox when I used to live nearby for some artillery training.
They must have slept through the classrom instruction cause when the lit up the big guns some guy wound up with a crater in his backyard. He was upset as it interrupted his TV watchin as I recall.
They were shipped out before that barrel had a chance to cool down.
When you live near ranges this stuff does happen from time to time.
