The Left seem to be coalescing around the idea that Bush won by rallying the "Religous Right". Oh, yeah, and it's all about gay-bashing.

It's Florida all over again. Instead of doing some painful soul-searching, they're making up stuff that allows them to feel superior to the losers who reelected the President. Go ahead, guys. If you refuse to face the fundamental fact that your loony far-left wing has too much control, knock yourselves out. It means more wins for us, as you stand there shaking your heads in shock and awe.

Honestly, i would take this with a grain of salt. I dont know what Evan Thomas's axe to grind is, maybe just because Kerry couldn't win, but this guy is an idiot and i think he is becoming delusional. He takes an obvious anti-Swift Boat Veteran Stance, yet trashes John Kerry. Evan Thomas is about as trustworthy as rense.

"Why the f--- didn't he take it? After what the Bush people did to him...'"

What a potty mouth on Mr Kerry. Parents in the heartland are satisfied with their voting decision.

Exactly! I wouldn't spend my money on anything by them! If it wasn't worth telling the voters when it mattered, who cares what they are SELLING now.

I also noticed that Eleanor Clift was part of the "project". More reason to avoid it!

Wow, I knew that The Real Kerry would come out in the press someday, but not this soon. The Dems are going to trash their own in a kind of "scorched earth" policy.
This is going to be fun to watch!!!!!!!

"If McCain said yes he would expand the role of vice president to include secretary of Defense and the overall control of foreign policy. McCain exclaimed, 'You're out of your mind. I don't even know if it's constitutional, and it certainly wouldn't sell.'" Kerry was thwarted and furious. "Why the f--- didn't he take it? After what the Bush people did to him...'"

Talk about outsourcing.

Every liberal that has gone against Bush has underestimated him. It doesn't surprise me that an egotistical liberal would say something like this.

"It's a pack of f---ing lies, what they're saying about me," he fairly shouted over the phone. Kerry blamed his advisers for his predicament. (Cahill and Shrum argued responding to the ads would only dignify them.) He had wanted to fight back; they had counseled caution. Even Kerry's ex-wife, Julia Thorne, was very upset about the ads, she told daughter Vanessa. She could remember how Kerry had suffered in Vietnam; she had seen the scars on his body, heard him cry out at night in his nightmares. She was so agitated about the unfairness of the Swift Boat assault that she told Vanessa she was ready to break her silence, to speak out and personally answer the Swift Boat charges. She changed her mind only when she was reassured that the campaign was about to start fighting back hard.

whats a pack of lies? That Kerry falsely accused soldiers in battle? That he gave the VC the confession of war crimes that men were being tortured to give? That he didn't toss his medals.

Every time I want to give this scumbag some sympathy I realize, even today, he thinks he's the only hero to return from Vietnam. MEDAL OF HONOR WINNERS SAY YOU ARE A TRAITOR!! YOU CALL THESE MEN LIARS!

Kerry has serious mental problems from Vietnam that impairs his judgment. He must have committed atrocities that haunt him to this day, and his guilt weighs on him bad.

Yes, Kerry is a pedigree loser like his mentor. Whoever paid him to lose got their money's worth.

Looks like they are already turning on him. Since he turned out to be unelectable, it's time to bury him to make way for a new standard bearer.

The problem for the Dems is that the new boss is gonna be the same as the old boss. Poor guys, their idea of progress is to go back to the 70s.

Sen. John Kerry was baffled..."He said with a sigh to one top staffer, 'I can't believe I'm losing to this idiot.'"

Kerry suffers from the same problem that many of the liberal elite snobbery do. People like Effing and Al Gore develop an overblown opinion of their abilities to engage in social and intellectual domains. Their intellect is generally on par with that of a typical college graduate (both Gore and Kerry were C students) yet they have convinced themselves that they are intellectually superior humans.

As a result, people like Kerry and Gore often reach erroneous conclusions about complex situations and as a result of their miscalculations make stupid mistakes and missteps.

Their real problem is that they lack that metacognative skills to realize it.

Thank You God Thank You God Thank You God!

Thank You for not allowing this man to become the leader of the United States of America.

Did the people from Newsweek actually really want this man to be president? This is like Eason Jordan of CNN hiding all of Hussein's "bad guy" image to maintain their contacts.

I think trying to understand the values and morals of America will be a long-shot for any of these people.

The most disturbing aspect of this article is what it makes abundantly clear . . . for the fourth consecutive presidential election, the Democrat Party ran a candidate who may very well be a certifiable looney-tune.
