I think you're right that he's been dead, at least since yesterday, and they're trying to get his money moved so it can continue to be used to finance the killing of Jews in Israel.
It's my understanding that Suha doesn't know where his money is and they have to "keep him alive" till it's figured out and they can get to it. I guess the appropriate Swiss bankers have to be bribed to access it.
