Obviously, Katie Couric & others are anxious to "start the healing" by consulting their Dr Phils of the world, but what will the Dr Phils NOT tell their Blue State clients? Read on for some easy predictions.....#1 "Its the Red Staters who are intolerant, not you". #2 "Be polite, but never compromise your core beliefs". #3 Its THEM who are Xenophobic, not you.
1) Blue Staters are generally much more intolerant that Red Staters yet continue to accuse us of their own major fault. Easy to see with their jokes and condemnation of those with a different value set than themselves. Just watch the comedy shows, read the Left's Newspapers here and in Europe.
2) They actually live in a cultural bubble and they limit contact (far more than we do) to others like themselves and feel VERY uncomfortable in an unscripted, public setting away from their natural surroundings.
We could go on & on, but the bottom line is Blue Staters have become culturally Xenophobic (pron. "zenophobic").
According to Websters, a Xenophobe is "A person unduly fearful or contemptuous of that which is foreign, especially of strangers or foreign peoples."
Last thought: The country/people most commonly known to have a major xenophobic problem is FRANCE. Ironic, isn't it?
Stop with the "blue stater" stuff. It's the blue precincts you can go on about. The "blue states" were really "blue cities".
Blue Staters, blue prescincts, blue blocks, blue houses.
Whatever...don't ignore the message due to symantics. Thats a strategic diversion....a trick of the left.
Are you calling me leftist?
Its far worse that Dr Phil.

Patriotism: The Good, the Bad, and Yes, the Ugly
This is an article on their website about xenophobia dated 9/27/2001.
Its sickening: http://my.webmd.com/content/article/34/1728_89985.htm?lastselectedguid={5FE84E90-BC77-4056-A91C-9531713CA348}
Yeah #1, it's the BLUE Counties that are the problem, NOT the so-called 'blue states'.
Take a look at the county by county map on USA Today's political page. Most 'Blue States' aren't blue. It's a few selected 'urban' counties that skew the results. Heck it's 'RED' from sea to shining sea. Even CA is mostly red.
Being in IL, I'm in a 'blue state' but I live in an overwhelmimg 'RED County' (DuPage) - and that's on purpose. We fled that cesspool called Chicago and 'Crook' County when we got married in 1975. And if it wasn't for family we'd be in Montana! (or Wyoming)
Oh, gawd......what a couple of OTers.
Stay focused people, otherwise you'll be accused of being a leftist troll :)))
You've come to the wrong place. You'll be leaving soon, jerk.
It was you who called me a leftist and are a coward to fess up to it.

Patriotism: The Good, the Bad, and Yes, the Ugly

Sept. 27, 2001 -- There are the flags, the chants of "U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A," and stirring renditions of "The Star-Spangled Banner." They have helped bring this country together. But what of patriotism's dark side, when things are taken to the extreme?
Is there a danger that extreme patriotism could be used to justify acts of violence against people who look Middle Eastern, or are most Americans simply trying to understand their own fears?
With all due respect it's NOT a diversion. It's a fact. As to any strategic diversion, it's by the left claiming territory they DON'T control, or have any supporters in.
As such, the 'message' is that the USA is still a conservative country that looks on the perversions that the left supports with disdain, disgust and contempt.
Or to put it another way... 'we' don't want anymore condoms and sex toys hanging on the Christmas tree in the White House residence area.
Last night's Bill Mahr show was a perfect example of the utter delusion and hypocrisy, and Mahr was exposed in spades ... by his own guests.
First up was retired Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson, who ripped Mahr a new one on his snide comments about "the religious right" and - more strangely - gays and abortion (Simpson though a Republican is pro-choice and pro gay rights, and claims to be a Christian).
Simpson actually called Mahr's comments "bull****" and "a lot of crap", and just wouldn't let him of the hook. Simpson was so peeved that Mahr pulled the plug on him after only two questions.
Next up was the panel with Andrew Sullivan, who did basically the same thing, pointing to Mahr's snide jokes and sneers as being the kind of thinkg that costs Dems votes. The highlight was Mahr's rant about Christians and "Jeeeezus" (that's how he says it), to which Sullivan replied "I believe in Jesus." Of course Mahr couldn't compute that it was exactly his sort of sneering and condescending approach that was turning people off to the Rat party, a point which Sullivan made repeatedly by showing it to Mahr in his very own words. Mahr was in complete and utter denial, and it was so bizarre that all three panelists began looking at Mahr as if he were pathetic.
Mahr then brought on Noam Chomsky via video feed. Chomsky did his normal "hate America, America is evil" schtick, after which Sullivan went completely ballistic on Mahr for "throwing him softball questions" and encouraging Chomsky's "immoral lies."
Given that sterling performance by Sullivan, it was even possible to accept his explanation about his vote for Kerry, which I'd read on his blog but was unable to understand without the context of the above.
No problem here about your position.....just that its OT. Hint: You might be thought of as a "Troll" by trying to divert off topic and pick a fight on specific words, etc.
Unfortunately:
YES, YOU ARE BLUE STATERS BECAUSE ELECTORAL VOTES ARE CAST BY STATE.
GTF over it and get GTF out there and fix your states' PROBLEM!
"Last night's Bill Mahr show was a perfect example of the utter delusion and hypocrisy"
Yes, its ticked me off for long time that the leftists ARE totally delusional and fearful. Trouble is, try to find this being talked about...even on FOX.
Guess thats why we've got this FReeper paradise.
Dr. Phil would tell them to get real and suck it up. He's not like the other TV therapists.
