It's time to get serious and oust Paul Sarbanes (MD) from power. That clown's been sitting around doing nothing for too long - when he shows up. They call him "the ghost."

Corzine wants to be Guv of NJ or was that a rumor?
Snowe cannot be beaten. She will have token opposition.
If we were to put up a credible candidate in New Jersey we could take out Corzine (NJ).
Count on Chafee defecting, Pat Kennedy has his eye on that seat and Linc may want to head him off. Also count on Chafee facing way more than a "token" challenger in a Republican primary if his lame ass stays.
I disagree about Talent. He is a lock.
Nelson (FL). can be beat.....can you say Senator Jeb Bush.
The GOP mission for 2006/2008 is to secure CA's 54 EVs. It's not impossible.
If they don't even try, then 'KMA' national GOP leadership.
You don't take into account retirements.
I've heard that Frist plans to retire, and a lot of those guys are getting old.
Like Hatch, Byrd, Feinstein, Kennedy.
And I've heard that Corzine wants to run for governor.
MO attorney General Jay Nixon will probably challenge Jim Talent. It will be a tough match, but I expect Talent to pull it out.

I agree Talent is fine. I think Dayton in Minnesota is a big target to lose.

I agree. Especially after the phony scare-tactic to create an aura that under Bush the national security was not good.
Unfortunately, he got busy and created one of the biggest OBSTACLES to productivity in this country last year; Sarbannes Oxley, which is spoken in bitter terms and with not a small amount of cursing in corporate circles. As with all legislation passed in the heat of the moment during a 'problem', this one was supposed to solve the problem of corporate chieftans being able to snow everyone that their companies were in good shape, then suddenly going down the tubes. The sentiment was fine, but this legislation only creates enormous MIGRAINES among folks who have to fill this paperwork out ALL YEAR!!
If he's defeated, can we REPEAL his legislation?
