I'm with you.

I've read through all these posts and shuddered. These kinds of responses are not only unChristian, they are also fodder for those on the left who say that Bush supporters are hypocritical.

This man's family deserves our prayers and sympathy. He must have been mentally ill to begin with to commit such an act.

My prayers for him and his family.

Now his head looks like an open package of fresh hamburger, with ears..

That's an accurate description.

I have seen the results of a shot gun blast to the face and unfortunately once you've seen something like that you cant unsee it.

I wouldn't worry about the procreation thing since they're pro-choice. Nothing like setting a course that will eventually decimate your numbers.

"The unprecedented campaign of scare-mongering and HATE by the left drove him to this. He really believed their lies and thought the world was coming to an end. The left should feel this is on their hands."

That has been my feeling too.

Prayers for this man and his family. How sad.

"Shot gun - close range. What head?"
"So you are saying he is/was an airhead?"

At least he was open minded.

"How did he get a shotgun into NYC when they're illegal?"

You're being sarcastic I hope?

Can anyone plant the seed of this idea within DU? A Jim Jones style end for them would certainly cleanse America of some of it's worst enemies.

Too late. They're getting there on their own. There are a few cooler heads over there, too. But those are not prevailing.

This probably the only liberal who understands that guns don't kill people, people kill people.

The gun also doesn't have a drivers license.

kristinn and I joked about leaving, purple shrouds, some black Nike shoes and applesauce on the steps of the Washington Post the day after the election. YOu're right, they do have many cult-like attributes to them.

No, of course there's no such thing as a .12 gauge shotgun. I was just pointing out a lesser-known fact that gauge (a very archaic measure) is the opposite of caliber as far as number vs. size ratio.

As I recall, one "gauge" is equivalent to the diameter of a one lb. ball of lead, and the higher the "gauge", the lesser the amount of the lead, and accordingly the less the diameter of the ball of lead used to make the "gauge", and therefore the smaller the bore of the weapon. Which is why a 10-gauge shotgun is much more powerful than a 12-gauge, which is much more powerful than a 20-gauge, and so on. So, by that logic, a ".12" gauge shotgun would correspond to a much greater amount of lead in the imaginary ball of lead (8.5 times more massive weapon than even the already-huge hypothetical "one gauge" shotgun--8.5 x .12 = 1.0), and therefor a much larger weapon bore diameter. Vastly larger than exists in the non-military world. Accordingly, the idiot who wrote the article was even more uninformed about guns than it first appeared.

It seemed a lot more humorous before I had to explain it in such detail.....

Just be glad this guy didn't try to take anybody else down with him. I am concerned that our leaders (and conservatives in general) will face assasination attempts as the looney left disintegrates.

He probably stuck it in his mouth. We can assume, I think, that there was a face left. Probably a floppy, bloody one, but a face.

He must have already had mental problems.

Yes, he did--he was a liberal.
