The dems have lost a voter..

Actually, they may have gained two: One from Georgia and another in New York, his current place of residence.

This poor boy had some serious problems, the least of which were George Bush getting re-elected. The old media only wishes it were true, that he killed himself because of George Bush, makes them beam with pride how well their brainwashing is working on the stupid masses.

Liberal media spin. The poor kid was probably so messed up, he was at the point where he would have killed himself if his pet turtle had died.

I wonder what Veal's job was at the University of Georgia?

He probably won't be hard to replace though.

I think we should suggest the media not try to assign blame until it's established as a significant trend. Some conservative power-broker should stand up and say "Hey! It's too early to tell if the loss of Democrat power is really causing this. Once we see a real national trend we'll be better able to gage the problem." Single numbers don't represent a crisis. To suggest a crisis, we really need to see thousands such events...particularly along the coasts.

Perhaps a doctor's prescription for ailing liberals upset about the election: "Take two wad-cutters, and call us in the morning."

But when they got to Veal's body, they realized he had killed himself with a shot to the head from a .12-gauge shotgun.

Well, if you're going to off yourself with a gun, he picked the right one...

Franca's friend, Jeffim Kuznetsov, a 25-year-old student from Russia who lives in Atlanta, said the suicide is evidence of how deeply many Americans were affected by Kerry's defeat.

"It's a national tragedy," he said. "This election is devastating to all who believe in democracy."

No, it's the sad and pathetic act of a misguided soul, exacerbated by chugging too much leftie Kool-Aid predicting the end of Western civilization if Bush was reelected.

There seem to plenty of sickos left:

Somebody please tell me how an election in which an incumbent President is reelected by a 3.5 million vote margin is an offense to democracy.

The democrat flakes think that democracy is only working when their candidates win. The can take a long walk off a short pier IMO.

If this guy wanted socialism he could of moved to any country other than our own or worked for the U.N.. He should of realized that Americans are unique and we were telling the rest of the enabling liberal world to kiss our independent ass.

Just another reason we need the Second Amendment. It gives people a "right to choose". Probably a little too early to start a pool on number of dem's offing themselves by, say, Jan. 1, 2005, because of the election.

Also, no one was holding a gun to this guys head making him stay in America. Like that Paul Simon song, "50 Ways to Leave Your Country".

I'm amazed he died. A .12 guage shotgun would barely qualify as a "mouse-gun"

He probably thought football was the sport of evil, right-wing capitalists who use it to hold down the oppressed masses yearning to inhale the heady tenets of Marxism

And he was a total dumbass.
