Stupid TNT does promos over the beginning of the closing song Mansions of the Lord, then cuts it short for a commercial.

What is the name of the song that they sing before the final battle? Starts out Lay me down...

They edited out some good parts. Still a great movie!

Does anyone see any parallels between this movie and Irag? Great leadership, volunteers, and discipline equals a dominating force.

Actually TNT's editing out the rougher language & violence for this TV Version of "WE WERE SOLDIERS" makes it even more parallel to:

MEL's -PASSION- was sparked by -WE WERE SOLDIERS-

Tremendous movie. Gibson at his best. The music - "Mansions of the Lord" was featured at Reagan's funeral. A local chorus performed it here the other day and the audience was wiping away tears.

On the eve of Veteran's day: I salute all who have served with honor in our nation's armed forces.

This movie is awe inspiring. THANK YOU SOLDIERS!

Randall Wallace & Nick Glennie-Smith's inspiring hymn...

..'MANSIONS OF THE LORD'..

...has now entered our History Books forever.

...It also graced the Ronald Reagan's just concluding 'Mourning in America' Exhibit honoring the week that was the passing of Ronald Reagan.

This is a terrific production. Gibson, and hollyweird at their finest. Matched only by "Glory".

I will watch for the 15th time or so.
