"Not enough to worry about" bleats the left.
Nah! They only manufactured the gas after we invaded in order to stop us, so it's all our fault it's there.
It's not newsworthy. It's not a football field worth of weapons. That would be the only way the MSM would qualify this as WMD's.
Hey...
Don't worry...
After all, this is OLD SARIN from Sadaam's stockpiles... this doesn't RISE to the level of invading a sovereign nation!
oh, yeah... and arafat wasn't really dead either... just napping, stunned and pining for the fjords...
Confirmed?
That's impossible. Bush lied about the weapons of mass destruction. There were never any WMDs in Iraq. Didn't you hear?
Has this been confirmed? I cant find anything on NPR. The article you link doesn't say anything about sarin gas . . .
No, now they will shift the bench mark for success as they already did when two US soldiers were exposed to Sarin from a bomb in April or so. Now they will claim "No substantial amounts of WMD have been found".
1. No substantial amounts were found.
2. It was brought in after the war ended with Iraq.
3. It was produced before 91 and is old stuff left around and not really effective anyway.
Those will be the counter arguments. However, mainstream media will just ignore it anyway. Fact is. There have been MANY finds of WMD, but none were large. However, before a war, you dont leave it in a large depot either. You distribute it! But unless the US finds a depot with 20,000 tons of Sarin all stamped 1999 on the side with a tag on the front saying Saddams secret WMD stash. Someone, somewhere will try to argue it all away. The Arab media and the Germans/French media wont want to give it much attention (It plays against their agenda), US mainstream media seems to be def on one side of its head as well when it deals with the war in Iraq.
Red6
Those Japanese hostages brung it with em and forgot to ask for it back.
Sarin Test Kit. Not Sarin Gas according to NPR. Who knows...
Well, the MSM ignored the 41 rockets filled with cyclosarin found earlier this year, so I'm surprised that NPR is even covering this.
However vindicated we would feel if/when the MSM finally admits that there are WMD in Iraq, this doesn't "justify" the war because it was not based on possession of WMD! That really trips up a lot of people until its pointed out that the Congressional war resolution that Kerry, Hillary!, Edwards, et al, signed, contained nothing about actual possession, but rather the "capability to possess" WMD, which the laboratories and biological seed stocks, banned rockets, and Hussein's refusal/inability to account for large stockpiles that he himself admitted to after the Gulf War, and numerous other things reported in David Kay's interim report of October '03 and the Duelfer Report from two months ago, proved to be true.
Many of the items listed in the war resolution are historical (i.e. Hussein's attempt on GHW Bush's life, shooting at Coalition aircraft, violation of UN resolutions, previous use of WMD, oppression of the Iraqi people, etc.), so there was no further proof needed.
WMD bump.

Uh, war is not justified after the fact.
You guys never give up hoping, do you?
Karl Rove planted it there. Or Ashcroft. I'm not sure.
