Bill Maher is not so much a comedian or an entertainer. He would fall more in the category of a selfish, anti-christian, professional liar. (that is he makes his living by telling lies and distorting the truth.)

If you have heard him even one time, you recognize immediately that he cannot speak a half-dozen sentences without lying three times.

I would generally say that the case is a loser-- promises to marry are not enforceable. However, this is California so who knows what will happen. She'll probably argue that he committed fraud from the outset in an attempt to get around the contract angle.

Seems reasonable to sue Maher. If that's reasonable compensation, though, being a flight attendant home based in California must pay better than the same job in Minnesota.
