Civil rights attorneys today announced the settlement of a class action lawsuit, Gonzalez v. Abercrombie & Fitch, requiring the retail clothing giant to pay $40 million dollars to Latino, African American, Asian American and women applicants and employees who charged the company with discrimination. The settlement, approved this morning by U.S. District Court Judge Susan Illston, also requires the company to institute a range of policies and programs to promote diversity among its workforce and to prevent discrimination based on race or gender.

This suit is not good news no matter who it happens too. This is another racial shakedown. The next company could be yours or the one you work for. A victory like this will only embolden the Jessie Jackson types.
That was my immediate thought when I saw it mentioned at the bottom of the Fox scroll earlier this evening.
As much as I despise Abercrombie and Fitch, if they want to aim their sales model at white suburbanite preppies and yuppies who buy their overpriced crap, it's their business. I don't see anybody suing FUBU for catering its equally ugly and equally overpriced crap to inner city blacks, so why not Abercrombie?
$40 million dollars to (non-) victim whiners, and I have to go to work tomorrow like a normal person. What crap.
