Actually I think the map should be broken down even more to the township level.

And we are the real Americans. They--rural, red-state voters, the denizens of the exurbs--are not real Americans. They are rubes, fools, and hate-mongers.

If "The Editor of the Stranger" was right here, right now, I'd kick his ass. How's that for "Real American" compassion?

I make it a point to pick up the Stranger each Thu when it comes out. I love reading the leftist blather, and after the election, the resulting meltdown. Makes for entertaining reading.

Could (and should) be taken down to the precinct level. Now let's see how blue they can get!

Claimed by who....the sewer dwellers that live in them? They can keep their RAT-infested urban cesspools.

We live on islands of sanity, liberalism, and compassion--New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Seattle, St. Louis, Minneapolis, San Francisco, and on and on.

Let's not forget great bastions of civilization like Washington DC, Benton Harbor, Detroit, Flint, Palm Beach(idiots), Warren MI(politicians always in trouble there), Youngstown, and many others.

Citizens of the Urban Archipelago reject heartland "values" like xenophobia, sexism, racism, and homophobia
Xenophobia? WTF?
Sexism? Out here we love women.
Racism - I've seen more racism in your blue lands - like Detroit and Dearborn(Black vs white AND white vs black) , than out here. In the exurbs, we don't give a damn about race.

The Sierra Club has reported that Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Tennessee squander over half of their federal transportation money on building new roads rather than public transit.
You concrete jungle idiots don't know anything about the enviroment. Us red state rubes LIVE in it. We understand nature.

And to do that, Democrats need to pursue policies that encourage urban growth
No, you people are trying to force me to live in a city.

We're everywhere any sane person wants to be. Let them have the shitholes, the Oklahomas, Wyomings, and Alabamas. We'll take Manhattan.
You'll have DC too.

Neither is gun control. Our new position: We'll fight to keep guns off the streets of our cities, but the more guns lying around out there in the heartland, the better.
We're smart enough not to blow our brains out and shoot each other. Compare the homicide rates between DC and the UP of Michigan. Nuff said.

Who wants to go to small-town America now?
Obviously a lot of people do. That's why my county is the fastest growing in the state.

We will make each of our cities--each and every one--a shining city on a hill. You can have your shitholes.
Fine by me. You can have DC, Flint, Detroit, Newark, and Youngstown.

But according to the 2000 Census, 226 million people reside inside metropolitan areas--a number that positively dwarfs the 55 million people who live outside metro areas.
A BS stat. Technically I'm in a metro area. Either classified as a suburb of Ann Arbor 30 miles away or part of the Brighton/Howell/SouthLyon "metro area" since there's 100,000 people when you combine the 8 or so townships. This area is red as can be too.

Asthma is a growing problem across the nation, but it is particularly acute among African American and Latino children growing up in the inner cities--the death rate from asthma complications is three times as high for minority children as it is for whites. This is unacceptable, and it's just one example of an issue urban residents can and should rally behind.

I have asthma, dumbass. It's inherited.

The white bigots of New Orleans can complain, bitch, and threaten the lives of black boys and girls all they want, but in the end the federal government steps in to ensure that the rights of every American are protected.
New Orleans is one of your cities!!!!!!

BTW - How the hell are you cityfolk going to eat. Do you people think food comes from the store???

WOW, cool. They are going to LET us NOT have National Health Care?? Because they were doing that for US? And they are going to LET us have polluted rivers and no mass transit 'and see how we like it??' Because they were fighting for that for US, too? With friends like that ....

Blue state Long Island has probably more racists per square mile than any area this side of Palestine.

I was wondering how long it would take for these idiots to rediscover federalism and state's rights. They are the ones who started this culture war by ramming their radical social agenda down our throats. When the great unwashed masses finally turn the tide they get all pissy, take their ball and go home.

The whole problem with liberal utopianism is that as conditions get better there will be less of a need for government. It's a matter of incentives--the only way they can maintain power is to lock in pain and suffering. In short liberal utopia is a myth and a proven recipe for totalitarianism.

Take this seriously, because this socialist d-ck "gets it". He actually understands the nature of the culture war. His language is bias, of course, but what it comes down to are the basic definitions of what's good and evil.

We can see the same hypotheticals with all the same context, insight, and understanding, but one of us smiles while the other is revolted.

This is precisely the intellectual architect we need to counter. The natural tendencies of democrat plebes are easily defeated by standard political schemes. In contrast, this neurotic pig actually knows what he values (that which we despise) and won't be appeased by anything but the death of Right Americans.

Hey, this idiot might be on to something. "WE" can sell them food, cause we grow it all, charge "THEM" big bucks for it (money is ALL they got), and if worse comes to worse, and they get uppity, we got all the guns, too. ;)

This poor sap probably reads this garbage to himself every night before bed.

Too funny. How can liberals ever expect to sell their agenda with idea with an attitude like that? This guy is a totalitarian despot mini-me.
