The ACLU must be destroyed

Most Americans just laughed and shook our heads in disbelief years ago when a handful of extremists began systematically targeting the Boy Scouts as a "subversive organization."

But over time, because most Americans didn't fight back, didn't marginalize the extremists, didn't speak up proudly and stand behind the Boy Scouts, it is this outstanding civic organization that has taken a beating.

The decision this week by the Defense Department to accommodate the American Civil Liberties Union at the expense of the Boy Scouts illustrates the way our country is being reshaped by the worldview of the extremists.

In case you missed it, the Pentagon has agreed to warn its bases not to sponsor Boy Scout troops in appeasement of the ACLU and end a 5-year-old lawsuit that had charged the government with improperly supporting a group promoting belief in God.

Our founding fathers must be spinning in their graves today.

If you take the ACLU and other extremists supporting its agenda at their word, you have to believe this fight is about "tolerance."

They maintain they oppose the Boy Scouts because of their "intolerance" for people who don't embrace their values. And, in the name of "tolerance," the ACLU and those who consider the Boy Scouts "subversive," have no tolerance for the Boy Scouts – or anyone else who disagrees with them.

The ACLU is never going to change. It is an anti-American organization. It is a group that seeks to destroy all that makes America a unique experiment in freedom. It is an organization in league with all of America's enemies. It is an organization that hates God, hates what is right, decent and morally upright. It is an organization in league with the Devil, as far as I am concerned.

And the ACLU is an organization that needs to be isolated, exposed for what it is, recognized for what it is and destroyed if necessary.

Instead, because most Americans have a live-and-let-live attitude, we "tolerate" the ACLU. We wink at it. Maybe we laugh at it. But the ACLU and its allies continue to push our society, to transform it, to remake it in its own twisted image.

The Boy Scouts have been targeted by the ACLU and the homosexual activists because the Boy Scouts have been uncompromising in their views and standards. The subversives hate that. They hate when people stand up for what's right.

When it becomes dangerous to stand up for what's right in America, you know we're in trouble as a nation.

Let me ask you a question: Would you rather live next door to a family that hosts a Boy Scout troop or a family of homosexual activists? Would you rather live next door to a family of people who attend church or synagogue every week, or would you prefer to live next door to the local head of the ACLU?

What's so scary about the Boy Scouts?

A Boy Scout pledges to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.

A Boy Scout vows to keep himself physically strong, morally straight and mentally alert.

And because of these characteristics and goals, the Boy Scouts today are under siege – the latest target in the Culture War.

When you see an institution like this under attack, it should set off an internal warning that our very way of life – not just the Boy Scouts – is threatened by an organized, well-funded conspiracy. I know many do not like that word "conspiracy," but no other synonym in the English language is appropriate in this context.

Think about it.

There are people in our society today who believe that it is unconstitutional for citizens to act on their moral judgments, such as the view that homosexuality is wrong. They believe that the state has the right coercively to dictate matters of conscience.

As these enemies of freedom, morality and responsibility see it, the Boy Scouts do not have the right to assert their First Amendment rights.

And they are succeeding. As incredible as it may seem, they are winning this Culture War. The establishment press is their ally. The entertainment industry is their ally. The federal government is their ally. The schools are their allies. The foundations are their allies. The apostate churches and synagogues are their allies. Now, even the U.S. military has become their ally.

It's time to reframe the debate. That's the only way our civilization, as we know it, can survive. It's time to tell the truth. It's time to stand up for decency.

That we now live in a world in which it is dangerous to stand up for trustworthiness, loyalty, helpfulness, friendliness, courteousness, kindness, obedience, cheerfulness, bravery, cleanliness and reverence should be a warning to us all.

The stakes are high.

I, for one, am taking a public stand in favor of the Boy Scouts. I like what they stand for. Even though I have never been a Scout or involved with the organization (as a father of five girls), I consider their goals and objectives beyond reproach.

I guess it's time to add me to the enemies list. I support the Boy Scouts – unequivocally, unabashedly, unashamedly. The Boy Scouts personify the kind of world in which I would like to live and raise my family.

If this is the new dividing line in our society, let the barricades be erected. I'm not retreating – not another inch.

Who's with me?

The ACLU is like a wolf loose in the neighborhood that has been allowed to eat our young. The only reason that it attacks our culture's religious roots is that it is a money maker. A network of lawyers have devised a litigation cookbook that can win these cases in court every time. Each court case they can spring on an unsuspecting community is an automatic win for them and it reaps monetary rewards that encourages more lawyers to jump into the action. It is such easy money these lawyers are laughing all the way to the bank.

What we need is a counteroffensive that hits these lawyers in their pockets. There are too many lawyers seeing our cultural system as easy money to pay for their condo in Hawaii and trips to Europe.

Are you talking about our esteemed President Bush? really, don't you thing he has enough on his plate right now, like getting Specter nominated for the chairmanship, thinking up new schemes and ways to allow millions more illegals to enter this country, why on Thursday his day is taken up by cavorting with Clinton, and a host of Hollywooden headed maggots, at his library opening, coming out for gay unions, fight, my friend, he is much to busy to listen to the people who re-elected him.

Destroy them, if I had my way I would get every single one of them in one place, and then drop MOABs on them, but that's just my wants, hell, I could be overreacting a little.

If president Bush wanted to do something for the people who voted for him, he could find some way to take these communists down several pegs.

They have been harassing religious people and the Boy Scouts for years. This "warning" by the defense department is ridiculous. It should be retracted immediately.

If president Bush can say "bring it on" to foreign terrorists, he can say "bring it on" to these anti-Christian, anti-Boy Scout anti-American domestic, legal terrorists.

The ACLU Is NOT the Problem!
The ACLU is nothing without favorable judges and favorable statutes. If you want the ACLU to rot away, you need rock-solid conservative judges who will just say 'No'. And then you need streamlined civil procedures that are not designed to drag things out and maximize lawyers' incomes. And finally you need laws written by Congress and state legislatures that are consistent with the original intent of the Constitution. If the Constitution needs updating then amend it. A "living document" is a meaningless document and ultimately a dead letter, ignored and perverted at will.

One of the most reliable ways of getting a politicians attention is with numbers. Take the NRA for example.

After taking a quarter century hiatus from the scouts I recently got re-involved (thanks to my son). I was surprised that although so much had changed, so much remained the same.

Most people don't realize that there are few age or gender restrictions for being a boy scout (7 for boys, 11 for girls, older that 20 you're considered a scout leader). Not very expensive either ($10.00 per annum). Want to support the scouts? Here's the way: BSA Website.

It's no wonder we are struggling to defeat the terrorists, when the pentagon bows down to pressure by the ACLU, heaven help us all, the Country's military has been wussified [Generals], and we are facing the greatest threat we have ever faced, and the Brass at the top, capitulated to leftist, American home grown terrorists, and i'm not talking about Timothy Mcveigh's people, but I believe the ACLU is a far more dangerous org.

The ACLU is not the problem! It's liberal judges. Isn't that like saying Zarqawi is not the problem, it's really Bin Laden. I certainly see what you are saying, but they are like the tumor that eventually develops into a cancer. In either case I agree wholeheartedly they must be stopped and soon, the Country cannot take much more of this liberalism, or we can kiss it all goodbye. It makes me remember Nikita Kruschev, at the U N banging his shoe on the table and yelling to the American Diplomats, "we will bury you" that was a dual threat, to beat us economically, and militarily, that of course didn't work out to well for them and their communistic society. They must be stopped, but how, what you and others are suggesting,is not sufficient enough to beat them .

Let's join him folks..Go to the Boy Scout organizations in your neighborhood and offer to help in any way you can..Bring this topic up in all your interactions with people everywhere..Set up a soapbox on this and speak up! Grandparents, here is something you can do to help your Grandchildren. Older folks have time and power. This action on the part of the ACLU is insurgent behavior and it needs to be stopped.

We need a "Loser Pays" law. The lawyers drain off 2% of our GNP. They have become intolerable and our Congress needs to curtail this through laws to stop it.

"There is a court law passed during Watergate era that allows them to collect attorneys’ fees for these cases for these Ten Commandment and pledge cases, and because they’re claiming they have a civil right not to see the Ten Commandments, a civil right not to hear the word “God” in the pledge of allegiance.

They have a collected a huge amount. It is a neat fundraiser for the ACLU. There’s no excuse for Congress to not repeal this and make it impossible."

We need to get this law repealed! If people knew they could silence the ACLU with a bit of activism, they'd be phoning as we speak.

Apparently we need to insist our Congressmen repeal this abusive law that allows the ACLU to get rich on harassing blue America. Cut off their funds and they'll die."

Here is the recipe and a great place to start curtailing this menace.

It is hard to fight a group like the ACLU in a "free" society. They always make it sound like they have the moral high ground - and that the "other guy" undermines the Constitution. But it is actually the opposite; the ACLU undermines the Constitution and thus, America itself.

So what do we do?
