The Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church http://www.vaumc.org will make several appeals to state lawmakers. Do you know what they are? Are they consistent with conservative, Christian values?
And do Methodists in Virginia have any idea what the church's General Board of Church and Society is doing with your offering. You may be surprised to find out, but Yassir Arafat and anti-American hate groups are well aware of Methodist benevolence.

Exactly. I believe, perhaps wrongly, that it's an invitation to homosexuals to attend and feel welcome, blah, blah, blah. I do feel homosexuals should be in church, but not running it!
If your "church" is on this list, abandon it. http://www.ncccusa.org/members/index.html
So much for the "separation of church and state."
It would be better to burn it in the BBQ than to give it to an apostate church such as the UMC, and many others. At least the burned money won't be working against what you believe in.
They only demand "separation" if it's a conservative issue.
