A tunnel used by Palestinian weapons smugglers along the Egyptian border collapsed today, burying several people inside.
Israeli military sources said the tunnel collapsed while an unknown number of Palestinians were digging toward an Israeli army outpost near Rafah. Officials said the army would help in rescue efforts.
Palestinian officials said the tunnel collapsed as a result of heavy rains in the area overnight. They said five people, all from the same family, were trapped in the rubble.
They said the army had permitted two Palestinian bulldozers to enter the area to help dig out the people.
The Rafah area, along Gazas border with Egypt, is a frequent flashpoint of violence. Israeli troops operate in the area, searching for smuggling tunnels used by Palestinian militants.
When the rescue operation is complete, they should then take the bulldozers and knock down that family's house.
Mother Nature takes sides.
heheheh.
Huh...too bad, so sad, more suicide bombers gone before their mission accomplished! Sounds like we need to get more "tunnel vision" especially in Iraq!
Ironic fate.....
Park a tank on top of them, put the keys in your pocket, turn off your cell phone and take a long weekend.
Let them die.

Watch how the Zionist media will spin this to make it look like the fine palis had something sinister in mind. It seems obvious to me that they were planning on surprising the Israelis with some wonderful Hannuka gifts when things went awry.

Guns Before Butter.
It sounds like they may not need a house.
A nice bunker buster would dig them out in a hurry.

Well, Israel is more generous than I would be.
That is certainly magnanimous of them to allow the PA terrorist entity to rescue some terrorists.
sucks to be those palis.
Use concrete, leave a marker for a memorial.
LOL
Excuse me while I giggle ...
Does anyone know what would happen if let about 50 gallons of gasoline evaporate in a tunnel then tossed in a match?
besides a nice BOOM

Yeah heavy rain... Good job Israel.
Oh, I don't know. Not if they dig them out with a backhoe.:)
Oh Oh... Watch out for them Rachael Corries!
