PAT LaMARCHE, 2004 GREEN V.P. CANDIDATE, TO SPEAK ON THE OHIO RECOUNT AT RALLY NEAR WHITE HOUSE

Rally organized by ReDefeatBush at LaFayette Park in Washington, D.C., Friday, November 19 at noon

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Pat LaMarche, the Green Party's 2004 vice presidential candidate, will speak at a rally in Washington, D.C. on November 19 about the Ohio recount effort launched by the Cobb/LaMarche and Badnarik campaigns.

Ms. LaMarche will join Libertarian presidential candidate, Michael Badnarik, at a rally in front of the White House at LaFayette Park on Friday November 19 at noon. The rally has been organized by ReDefeatBush and other groups to protest the "botched" 2004 election and prepare for the "post-democracy era" under the second Bush Administration. The contact for ReDefeatBush is Joy Howell 202-828-7838, .

Citing widespread reports of voting irregularities, the Cobb/LaMarche and Badnarik campaigns recently launched a joint effort to hold a recount of presidential votes cast in Ohio during the November 2 election.

Ms. LaMarche will arrive in Washington, D.C. at 9 a.m. Friday morning and return to Maine at 6 p.m. the same evening. She can be reached by her cell phone at 646-202-0846 today or during the trip.

The Green-Libertarian recount effort has raised the necessary money to file for a recount, and is now raising money for monitoring the recount and related expenses.

The circle is complete, the Libertarians have now actively joined up with the left, in spirit and in action, to destroy the pubs.

If vote fraud is their cup of tea, they could have chosen any number of venues that have had rampant fraud for generations. Places where fraud is considered so business as usual they don't bother to hide it anymore, like Detroit, Chicago and New York. So where does the libertarian party decide to put their money and efforts?

Ohio.

This wraps it up for me. At one time I admired the libertarian party for their steadfast devotion to principle over politics. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years that emotion has gone from admiration to suspicion to revulsion.

I will now oppose the libertarian party at every junction and opportunity. Maybe it's time for the real libertarians on this site to take a hard look at what their party has become.

Why are they going to Washington? What could any one in DC do about the Ohio totals? Is this going to turn into one of those grossly underattended demonstrations where A.N.S.W.E.R. gets some whacko from every freak, faggot and anti-American organization in the world to blather about their pet hate? If so, we did that. Why not meet in Canton or Xenia or Lakewood? Hey, did some one remember to invite Ralph?

I agree. They used to be like conservatives, except on social issues, but now they are just liberals. Why would they want a recount if they were on the right?

Several years ago, the Libertarian Party was looking somewhat tempting. Now, I see them as merely ***holes.

Libertarianism as a political philosophy is one thing, but the Libertarian party is another.

I am basically a pro-life, anti-gay, non-pot-smoking, pro War on Terror, small 'l' libertarian, if that makes any sense.

There's a great potential libertarian-leaning Republican ripe to run for President in 2008.

SC Gov. Mark Sanford!

You know what's really nutty about these two parties doing this? It helps the DemonRats.

Now, if I was in a fight, and my opponent was on the ropes, I'd do what I could to finish him off.

Not the American minor parties. They don't recognize an opening when they see one.

The dem's angered their blue collar, traditional, patriotic branch. They angered their leftist, green, anti-war branch.

You'd think that one of these leaders would recognize that the dems are ripe for history's ashcan...especially on the traditionalist side. A bunch of them voted pubbie and another bunch voted dem while hold their noses. And then there's the catholic dems who are hated by their own party.

A blue collar, independence, revisit the life issue, patriotic, union coalition could put the dems out of business and take their place in history.

OK-I don't mean anti-gay, I mean anti-gay marriage. Wanted to clarify that before I get flamed.

Good point. They should rally in OH. Maybe they think the PR they get there wouldnt be as good.

Now they are openly saying Bush stole the election. Just a few days ago they told us this wasnt about overturning the results. Gee, I guess these lefties lied! How shocking.

I guess it's good they continue to do what they do. Makes them look like even bigger nutjobs. If there were any real serious evidence of vote tampering by the GOP you can be sure Kerry, Edwards, Beckel, Carvel, etc would be out there leading the protests.

I took an on-line test not to long ago that was supposed to distinguish your party affiliation. I am a born and bred Republican but the answers I gave this test told me I should belong to the Libertariians. So much for on-line testing. The one's I have seen protesting have the same Bush-bashing potty mouths as the Dims.

I describe myself as follows:

A pro-life, anti-gay-marriage, non-pot-smoking, pro War on Terror, small 'l' libertarian.

In other words, a very conservative Republican!

"at a rally in front of the White House at LaFayette Park ... ."

Back in '97 we changed my son's diaper in Lafayette Park. What we left behind (no pun intended) was our little gift to Slick and Piano Legs.

George Soros is in seclusion having a sex change operation; he wants to be in the cabinet when Hillary takes over.

I don't understand it either. Which is why this whole thing smells. It's also one of many reasons that I am not a member of the Libertarian party (there are several others).
