PHILADELPHIA -- Here's one for nostalgia buffs: the Franco-American brand -- best known for SpaghettiOs -- is no more.

Campbell Soup Co. has quietly retired it, though not SpaghettiOs, which were introduced in 1965. SpaghettiOs are now sold under the Campbell brand.

Thank you for remembering Quake. Man, I wanted him to dismantle that stupid little Quisp.

Quisp was a little jerk. I always wanted to grab him by the throat, wind up that stupid little propeller, and watch him bounce off the walls.

I don't see the problem -- Franco-American was not a French company.

I don't think I have ever eaten a 'spaghetti-o'. Try to say away from the canned fat stuff.

I do like 'french bread' however on the shelf in the grocers'. I know it's not really from France....

Ugghh... can`t stand tabasco, it`s not even hot, just nasty. College taught me the pleasures of "Spam parmagin" a little fried spam, a can of "canned pasta product" of your chioce, Frank`s original Red Hot Sauce, shredded mozzarella....mmmmm!

When we were little our folks used to cook big cans of Franco-American Spaghetti for camp out dinners. With a big slab of sheepherder bread and butter on a cool evening ----- brings back memories of of times before.

AP and UPI reported the French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert from "run" to "hide". The only higher levels in France are "surrender" and "collaborate". This increase in the terror alert level was precipitated by a recent fire which destroyed one of France's white flag factories, disabling their military
