"Now I'm wondering if the agent will be reprimanded or blamed in any way by his Secret Service supervisors for any part in the disagreement with the Chilean security. It is my hope that he isn't, but those guys in the Secret Service have very rigid rules and regs to follow."
Wonder no more. Based on what I have seen from President Bush, the agent will not be focused on - he's a great administrator (remember he has an MBA from Yale), the Chileans are definitely in the wrong on this. If it were Clinton, our agent would have been indicted.
Teh US Secret Service agent didn't do anything wrong.
The Chileans should be investigated -- seriously.
"As Bush stepped inside, Chilean agents closed ranks at the door, blocking the president's agents from following. "
They knew the secret service agents were with Bush.
Clinton would have just had Reno burn his house down. (with the agent and his kids in it)
True, true and we probably would not have even seen the story if it had been Clinton. If it had been Clinton, the agent would have lost his position, if not rank.
