Under attack

President Bush is coming to Canada for a visit on November 30 and December 1. The MSM in Canada is going to paint it as a disaster of some type and many assorted Canadian leftists are planning on protesting his visit.

Free Dominion is setting up welcoming demonstrations for President Bush to show him - and all Americans - that all Canadians are not Liberal weenies.

Free Dominion has contacts in the U.S. Embassy, who know and trust us, and they are going to feed us information as to where our welcoming demonstrations will be most effective. We are setting up team captains and will be keeping intel very close to our vests.

As a result of all this, Free Dominion was hacked last night and we are now offline while we try to clean up the mess. We have just rebooted the server and killed the worm that was infecting visitors to the site. We are now in the process of repairing other damage that was done.

The only upside to all of this is it demonstrates how worried the leftist cowards of Canada are that pro-Bush/pro-American voices in our country are gaining strength and volume.

The last time Free Dominion put on a rally in support of America in the WOT we put 8,000 to 10,000 people on Parliament Hill. In comparative terms, that would be like putting ten times that many on Capitol Hill.

For security reasons it appears that Parliament Hill will be closed for all demonstrations, so we will be operating this welcoming differently.

The leftist cowards in Canada have won a little battle today, but Free Dominion is going to kick every one of their butts, when President Bush comes to Canada.

It was a Russian. So far I've traced it to Ekaterinberg.

What a scumbag! Cancel their travel privileges to Canada!

And don't think we've forgotten what your embassy people did in Tehran, 25 years ago, when the ayathuggah's knuckledraggers took over our embassy.

Some of us haven't forgotten the Halifax Explosion in 1917 either. A munitions ship blew in the harbour and took out 1/2 the city. It was the single largest man-made explosion ever, and was only surpassed when they split the atom. That night a 4-day blizzard hit. The first aid to arrive was from Boston, and believe me.... taking fishing boats up the atlantic coast of Nova Scotia in the middle of a December blizzard is crazy. Suicidal even. Not something people forget.

http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/jspsymean.html

The virus was downloaded from http://underground.ae21vek.ru/Windows-KB833987-x86.exe (it is safe to download the file and see if your virus scanner detects it, but DO NOT browse the index.html at the root of that site if you are using MS Explorer)

Thanks, and I read the article at your Sophos link, but I didn't get a hit in Grisoft's virupedia, so notwithstanding that they recently got a 100% score from Virus Bulletin when tested under Win2003 Server, I thought I'd better not tempt fate by visiting the site.

Thanks for driving me to Grisoft's site, though. I found their notice that they'll be discontinuing their support of Grisoft AVG 6.0 (free edition) at the end of the year, in favor of a new engine and definition d/b available, likewise, for free to individual users. For a minute I thought they were just going to drop the free edition idea, but they aren't. There's always AntiVir, but I don't know how good they are, if Grisoft decides they want to do it some other way.

And apparently Canada, too.

Just spent some time looking at free anti-virus packages.

Grisoft AVG is recommended by Kim Komando and some of the techies at my ISP. Its free version runs under Win9x on, and also runs under Linux (but not server OS's).

H+BEDV Datatechnik's AntiVir free version runs under Win9x on, but not Linux or server versions. They struggled for years to get to the gold standard of reliability but achieved it about a year ago.

ALWIL's avast! 4.0 (free home version) is also a Windows 9x+ product and has done well recently in stringent tests. They also have a PDA version (both Palm OS and WinCE/Pocket PC) for not very much money, that looks for the small d/b of PDA-specific malware.

Just for info.

Thank you, sir, for remembering. That may well be the last time I could look an American in the eye and proudly say, "I'm Canadian."

It galls me how badly Canada has fallen since then. The Liberal Party of Canada, who is now in power, still can't figure out whether the villians of 9/11 were the murderous hijackers or the innocent people who died in NYC/Washington/PA.

I don't understand why America has not included Canada in the Axis of Weasels, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Hang in there! Take a good look around you when attending that little hate-fest. Highly instructive. And watch your six, because the left absolutely will resort to violence if they think they won't be caught.

You know, I've been wondering what would all be organized for the big trip of the President coming north. I am so encouraged that I'm thinking of doing the trek from Kitchener to Ottawa to help out - I so much want to be there to do my part to let him know how much we appreciate President Bush and are thankful that he is there for a second term. I realize that you don't want to release all that information yet but it can't be kept under-wraps indefinitely. When and how would I find out the details so that I can help out? You know, the who/what/when/where/how - I already got a good handle on the why.
