Translated French to English...

Seventeen good reasons not to open the veins

Firstly: Bush cannot be presented any more at the presidential election, it is against the law.

By MICHAEL MOORE

Friday November 19, 2004

hers Friendly, OK, that fear. That really fears. But before lowering the arms, always let us take, according to words' of Monty Python, the things on the good side! There is all the same good news in the results of the election of Bush, November 2.

Here seventeen good reasons not to open the veins to you:

1) George W Bush cannot from now on be represented any more with the presidential election, it is against the law.

2) the victory of Bush was the tightest victory of an outgoing president since Woodrow Wilson in 1916.

3) the only demographic group having mainly voted for Kerry are the young adults (Kerry: 54 %, Bush: 44 %), which proves, once more, that your parents always have wrong and that you should never listen to them.

4) In spite of the victory of Bush, the continuous majority of the Americans to think that the country goes in the bad direction (56 %), that the war was not worth the sorrow to be made (51 %), and does not approve the job only made Bush (52 %).

5) the republicans will not have a majority of 60 seats to the Senate to ignore the obstruction. If the democrats make their job, Bush will not be able to stuff the supreme Court ideologists of right-hand side. I have says: "If the democrats make their job" ? Perhaps Humm, better is worth to forget this one.

6) Michigan voted for Kerry! Like all North-East, i.e. the cradle of our democracy. Like six States out of eight of the area of the Large Lakes. And all the West coast also! More Hawaii. OK, it is a beginning. We control almost all drinking water, any Broadway, and the Mount St Helens. We have the capacity to dehydrate them or to bury them under the lava. And then, finished there the comedy!

7) Once more, it is reminded to us that the "Buckeye" (1) is a variety of nut, but not any a poisonous nut. A great nation was embanked by a poisonous nut. Make that Ohio pays the full price, this Saturday (2), by facing Michigan.

8) 88 % of the support for Bush come white voters. In fifty years, America will not have any more one white majority. Eh, fifty years, it is not so long! If you are ten years old and that you read this, your more beautiful years will be really splendid and one will occupy oneself well of you when you are old.

9) the homosexual ones, thanks to the poll of Tuesday, will not be able to marry in eleven new States. God thank you! Think of all the wedding presents which we will not have to buy any more.

10) Five Afro-Americans moreover were elected like members of the Congress, of which Cynthia McKinney, in Georgia, which makes its return. It is always good to have Blacks which fight for us and who make the job that our candidates cannot make.

11) the chairman of Coors (3) was beaten for the seat of senator of Colorado. Health!

12) Admit it: we like the binoculars Bush and we do not want that they from go away.

13) the democrats carried at least three legislatures of State at the time of this election. Before these elections 2004, among the 98 local legislative rooms controlled by the political parties (assembled and senates), the democrats controlled 44 of them, republicans 53, and a room was with equality. Since Tuesday, the democrats control 47 rooms, republicans 49, a room is with equality and another still not fixed (Montana).

14) Bush now has the appearance of a lame duck as a President. It will not know moment more glorious than this week. From now, all is only decline for him and, in a more significant way, it simply will refuse to do all the difficult work that one waits of him That will resemble the last month of final on our premises: the year is already finished, then it is the festival! Perhaps that it will regard the four next years as one permanent Friday, spending even more time with the ranch or Kennebunkport. And why wouldn't it owe it? It already achieved its goal, avenged his father, and botté us the bottom.

15) If Bush decided to be put at work and to take along this country on a very dark way, that would probably lead to one of these two scenarios: a) now that it does not need more to flatter the Christian conservatives, somebody could blow to him to use these four final years to constitute a heritage so that the History is more lenient with him, and this is why it will not implement a program too radically on the right; or b) it consequently becomes if fiérot and arrogant and, imprudent that it will make an error so enormous that even its own party will have to drive out it of its station.

16) There is nearly 300 million Americans, including 200 million in age to vote. We lost with a margin of only 3,5 million! It is not a tidal wave, we are there almost. Imagine a defeat to 20 million voice. If you had 58 yards before reaching the line of goal and that you traversed some at any speed 55, would you stop with 3 yards of the goal to collect the balloon and to return on your premise by crying particularly when your following attempt will start there, on this line 3 yards (4)? Of course that not! You begin again! Be full with hope! Still more sporting metaphors to come...

17) Lastly, and more important, more than 55 million Americans voted for the candidate called "the liberal n° 1 with the Senate". It is more than the total of the votes for Reagan, Bush father, Clinton or Gore. Once again, more people voted for Kerry than for Reagan at the time. If the media seek to release a tendency, that should be this one: that so many Americans, for the first time since Kennedy, agreed to vote in favour of a convinced liberal. The country was always filled with evangelic, it is not new. What is new, on the other hand, it is that so many people turned to a liberal of Massachusetts. Actually, it is a great news. That means: do not await dominant media, these same which brought the war of Iraq to you, that they never report to you the truth over November 2, 2004. In fact, it is better that they abstain from. We will need the effect of surprised in 2008. You smell yourselves better? I hope. As wrote to me my friend Mort, yesterday: "My Rumanian grandfather always said to me: "Remember, Morton, it is a so formidable country which it does not have need for President!" " But it needs us. You rest, I will write to you again tomorrow. Yours sincerely.

It is a bit frightening when you see how a sector of world society has degenerated...or maybe more appropriately had degenerated long ago, and is not just coming out of the closet....birds of a feather.

A lot of MMs points seem to be tongue-in-cheek, but that doesn't make them funny! He is, as he so aptly presented himself at the Republican National Convention by holding his forefinger and thumb shaped into an "L" at his forehead, a LOSER!

He and the other libs will be surpised at what President Bush will get accomplished this term!

Did the Frogs include in their translation that the Buckeyes whupped both Michigan State and Michigan?

Indeed. Where would we be without McKinney, Maxine Waters and Sheila Jackson Lee. They've done a bang-up job of representing everyone! Okay, not necessarily African-Americans, but certainly they've represented morons most adeptly.

Maybe if this tripe gets translated back and forth from English to French a few more times it'll end up being funny.

I know what you mean. These so called comedians are getting their political message across. I saw Roseanne a few days ago on one of the Late late shows and she was spewing the same stuff using "comedy" as political method. By the way..she was looking REALLY bad..like nervous breakdown bad.

Funny how the French translates black candidates as "it". Also note (again) Moore's racist assumptions about black americans.
