Five killed, three wounded in Wisconsin shooting

HAYWARD, Wis. -- A dispute among deer hunters over a tree stand in northwestern Wisconsin erupted Sunday in a series of shootings that left five people dead and three injured, officials said.

The alleged gunman, a man from the Twin Cities area, was arrested at about 5:15 p.m. Sunday at the Rusk and Sawyer County line, according to Sawyer County sheriff's officials.

The violence began shortly after a hunting party saw a hunter occupying their tree stand, Sawyer County Chief Deputy Tim Zeigle told KSTP-TV of St. Paul, Minn. A confrontation, and shooting, followed.

More than 186,000 Hmong men, women, and children live in the United States, according to the 2000 U.S. Census.1 While Hmong live throughout the United States, the majority are clustered in communities in three states: California, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Hmong are still coming here. Just a few months ago Appleton got another 200 or so that were living in camps in Thailand. Why Thailand kept them in camps is something no one talks about. That part of the world, like many other parts of the world, is racist and bigoted. The USA is a paradise compared to a lot of the rest of the world.

Don't worry. The shooter was part of a protected class, a liberal class project so to speak. And the victims were not.

Not much will be made of this from the gun standpoint lest liberals upset Hmong cultural sensitivities.

Yes, they have been let in again recently. They were cut off for a very long time, because of the liberals push from many countries that they should be reeducated and kept in indochina. That was regardless of the fact that they were being exterminated as part of that reeducation. I have a feeling this guy has been here for a long time and is involved in the recreational hard drug industry as a good customer and employee.

Wat Tum Krabok is a famous drug de-tox facility and many opiate addicted Hmong originally settled there , followed by their families and other relations. Eventually the population reached overwhelming numbers . But what really set the Thai Gov against their Hmong guests is that they found the Hmong were key players in the massive methamphetamine / yah-bah trade. There are good and noble Hmong and there are very evil and corrupt Hmong. The bad ones will bring the worst of the SEA drug trade qualities wherever they go. Local law enforcement should not go easy on these people , or they will never get control. Any Hmong that get busted for these sorts of crimes should be immediately deported directly back to Laos , not Thailand.
The threat of that fate would really keep them in line , because the Lao still kill them in the hills.One of the worst factors affecting young Hmong in America is that the youth listen to non-stop gangsta rap music and then want to imitate their criminal role models . They will take what they are impressed by to even greater depravity in order to
try to me more like 'Americans'...give me a break....

Not all of them. The early imports did not. Those were probably made to Russian military specs, except for the change to the Chinese cruciform bayonett, vice the blade version on the Russian and other nation versions.

Somewhere around 10 years ago there was a tresspassing incident in northern Minnesota, around Bemidji, where a landowner marched 2 tresspassing deer hunters off his land at gunpoint.
They charged him with assault and threw him in prison for several years.
Perhaps he had the right idea.

I heard the report on the radio several times this AM. The reports all say an arguemnet arupted over a tree stand and shooting erupted, then gave the number dead and wounded. No other info. The reports should read, "a trespasser who refused to leave a tree stand on private property started shooting the land owner and his friends." Of course the media doesn't believe in private property and right and wrong, unless it's theirs. They also hate guns, so they colored this as an arguement amoungst gun nuts.
