Actually an SKS with proper soft-point hunting loads is a perfectly powered setup for whitetail deer. And they only hold 10 rounds (unless modified), don't have a pistol grip or any other forbidden features so they are NOT "assault rifles". It's just the MSM doing what it does so well.
What I'd LOVE to HEAR:
Court: "Chai Vang, for this massacre we are promising you two things."
Chai Vang: "They are?"
COurt: "A FAIR trial...followed by a FIRST CLASS HANGING!"
Note this from the article: "Zeigle said the suspect was 'chasing after them and killing them'with a SKS 7.62 mm semiautomatic rifle , a common hunting weapon."
We shouldn't have to wait more than a day for Feinstein and Schumer to introduce legislation banning semiauto assault weapons again.
I actually expected something like this to happen just before the AW ban sunset.
Product Description: Mag SKS 7.62x39 50-Round Blue Steel, PreBan Detachable | |||||||

That sure looks like Michael Moore standing talking to the driver of that police SUV.
Bowling for Cheesballs
The left did away with much of if over half a decade!
I dont blame rap nonetheless people have made a big deal out of the few heavy metal songs that spoke of suicide. Lawyers were hired. Docs were put on the stand that said the words made the person commit suicide.
Those were isolated incidents. Now kids are bombarded with song after song that says kill cops, screw hos, rob people. The lifestyle of a thug is glorified and its not just a few words on a song. MTV shows all the behaviour in a manner that glorifies it. Kids think the only way to be cool is to treat girls like sluts and the girls love it.
I did not buy the excuse that a few words on a song made someone commit suicide nonetheless what is being done with rap is different. We are raising a generation of kids who believe it is cool and a right to act like a thug.
In my days the only way to openly be a thug was to join a outlaw motorcycle club. Other Thugs or gangsters layed low and did not attract much attention. This is different and it will become a huge problem.
Yes, you can get mods for SKS rifles including big mags.
But the SKS doesn't utilize a standard removable . You load rounds individually (or by using a "speed strip") from the TOP of the weapon. That metal fixture in front of the trigger guard is not removable.
To use magazines you have to make several modifications to the weapon. Not impossible, of course, but no different than many other weapons either.
If I was out deer hunting he would not chase me. I suspect he chased the woman and child but he must have ambushed any man who had a rifle.
I have owned a few SKS carbines and rifles. Russian and Chinese, I modified the Chinese models but left the Russian as it was. They were great guns, and I hope to get another one someday.
He does!
They're heavy and not really suitable for hunting. Much better for target shooting where you can steady it on something. Also, with a ten round, fixed box magazine, I think it's outside the limit for a deer rifle. Left over from the Korean War. Many available unfired for low prices.
On the up side, we can enjoy watching "Schustein" go down in flames...
Check out what the DUmmies have to say...they seem to think this was a great thing and it proves the need for more gun grabbing.
This is not the first incident of this kind involving the Hmong. We had a "shootout" in SE Minnesota about 7 or 8 years ago. Fortunately, there were no fatalities, although a number of people were wounded.
I can't wait for the spin from the Hmong legal defense folks and other leftist apologists.
To be fair, the Hmong were the US' staunch combat ally in Vietnam. When we bolted in 1973, tens of thousands were captured by the Viet Communists and murdered. Some got out and came to the USA. As a group, we owe them.
"Gee, I wonder how PETA and the other anti-hunting groups will spin this? Hmmmmmmm."
Of course this is unacceptable to PETA. Imagine if a deer got hit by a stray round.
Freezer full of venison, that's what.
