It has become clear that Israel played a major role in the battle for Fallujah, despite the American concern to conceal this fact. What news leaked of officers, soldiers, and even rabbis of dual citizenships that took part in the battles, some of which were killed by the resistance's bullets, is only the tip of the iceberg. The killing of an Israeli officer in Fallujah exposed the existence of a large number officers, snipers, and paratroopers in Iraq. Based on Israeli press statistics, Israel currently has no fewer than 1,000 officers and soldiers scattered around the American units working in Iraq. In addition, 37 rabbis are operating within the American troops, which leads to believe that the real number is greater; since Ha'aretz admitted that others are concealing their Jewish identities, which makes them self-driven Israeli citizens. Currently, there is a recruitment campaign coinciding with the escalation of the operations in Iraq, which seeks to send further assistance there. Amongst these campaigns is the incitement of Rabbi Irving Elson in his latest speech given in New York to allocate further "Fighting Rabbis" and encourage them to enlist in the American forces, in addition to another rabbi's advisory stating that those killed in Fallujah are "martyrs."
America needs the Israelis' experience in gang wars in order to manage the battles in the Iraqi cities; given that two generations of its armed forces lack this experience since the end of the Vietnam War. However, the Israeli role is neither technical nor complementary to the American plan. Rather, it is part of the vision established by its military and political leadership prior to the launching of the war, which aims at annulling any regional role for Iraq and eliminating any threat it might cause to its future. However, they are now avoiding a confrontation with Turkey, which is worried from their expansion in the north.
In this course, Israel incites the Iraqi Jews to the forefront in order to head the bridge of organizing the relations with the new government and specifically intensify the trade initiatives with Iraq through Jordan. It also wants it to have a word in Iraq's destiny through the indirect influence at the Sharm El-Sheikh summit, which infuriated both Syria and Turkey. Hence, the purpose of the Fallujah battle is to break the backbone of the resistance and pave the way for the completion of the Israeli plan.

I've always advocated an open role for Israeli military assets in these Middle East operations. We, and they, have nothing of which to be ashamed. The Israeli people have a huge stake in the prospects of that region, and it would be a very unambiguous statement to the Muslim world that "Israel is here to stay. Deal with it."

Very very doubtful due to potential fallout if discovered. Much more likely is that senior US military have trained a bit in Israel on guerrilla hunting in Muslim cities. Then taught these ideas to the troops. The model here is the IDF in Jenin. Perhaps some Israel officers visit our Iraq forces from time to time to observe and make recommendations. Also to pick up ideas for the IDF.

You get some sworn statemens from a Marine or Army staff or general officer that there is any truth in this and perhaps I might believe it. Also. This article states to the effect, that US forces have Iraeli military in Iraq due to the nature of combat, e.g. close door to door. I say this is complete baloney to put it mildly. Every branch of the United States military have based in the US where they send their people for training in SOC, SASO etc.. It is that simple. The Marine Corps. for instance maintains a SASO training center at March AFB outside of Riverside,CA.
I think this article is trying to pull the wool over someone eyes. If anything. I could see where CENTCOM would employ Iraelis in Intel orgs., to closely coordinate current findings regarding various terrorist org. operators currently in Iraq. But as for Iraeli military non intel types? No way would the Iraqi Interim Government allow them in the fold. And the coalition forces serve at the pleasure of the IIG at present.
I would not put much credence in this. We have enough troubles with the Iraqis. This seems to be designed to incite the Iraqis.
it angers me that israel isnt more involved in our military operations in the middle east. it demonstrates a lack of concern for american troops compared to the opinions of terrorists. sickening.
