No problem. We can make screws and drivers out of soft plastic. It might be hard to get people on an airplane, but sacrifices must be made to protect the people.

Crackdown targets knife culture?!
How dare they crackdown on others cultures. There I was thinking that they embraced diversity and the cultures of others. Do the Islamists and their culture not inflict death too? So why this discrimination against knives?
Who is next? When will this madness stop?
First they came for the Knives,
and I did not speak out
because I was not a knife.
Then they came for the big sticks of wood,
and I did not speak out
because I was not a big stick of wood.
Then they came for nail files
and I did not speak out
because I was not a nail file
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

Any problem can be solved if you throw enough laws at it. (sarc)

Cricket bats are next; followed by rolling pins, cast iron pans, hammers, scissors, hedge trimmers, etc. You could give someone a right nasty smack with just a soled bagpipe chanter. (Of course, it probably wouldn't play very well afterwards...)

Ahhhh yessss. Smear the queer. I love that game. We played with footballs, tennis balls, even balls of paper or foil. When our teacher had confiscated everything...we played rocks! LOL.
Man, those were the days.

Of course. Fight criminal ACTS by penalizing OWNERSHIP. Yep, makes perfect sense.

What will they do when people start hitting each other with bricks?
To: scouse
Next they'll come for the pointed sticks.
But they are going to have to pry my frying pan from my cold dead hands.

No problem. We can make screws and drivers out of soft plastic. It might be hard to get people on an airplane, Look. You start working on airplanes using screws and drivers made of soft plastic, there's no way you're going to get me on one of those planes.
Or anywhere near their flight paths...
