City gives break to terror-related mosque?
Muslim group buys land from government for fraction of value

A huge mosque set to be built in Boston is raising eyebrows for two reasons: its link to terror, and the fact the city government sold the land for the project at a fraction of its value.

The 60,000-square-foot Islamic Cultural Center will cost $22 million, according to a report by the Christian Broadcasting Network.

The Islamic Society of Boston, which is overseeing the project, allegedly has ties to radical Islam, with its founder, Abdurahman Alamoudi, sitting in federal prison after pleading guilty to charges related to a plot by Moammar Gadhafi to assassinate Crown Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, CBN reported.

Another figure tied to the organization, Wahabbi cleric Dr. Yusef al-Qaradawi, has urged Iraqi Muslims to kill American soldiers and has praised Palestinian suicide bombers.

Last summer, British Prime Minister Tony Blair condemned al-Qaradawi, who was nearly barred from entering the UK, the network reported.

Said Blair, "Let me make it absolutely clear. We want nothing to do with people who support suicide bombers in Palestine or elsewhere, or support terrorism."

In 1995, al-Qaradawi told his followers, "We will conquer Europe, we will conquer America!" The Islamic Society of Boston says listing al-Qaradawi as a director was an "administrative oversight'' which, it says, "was subsequently corrected,'' CBN reported.

Dennis Hale, a Boston College professor, is pressuring the organization to admit its ties to radical Islam.

"This is a mosque that combines Wahabbi theology, Muslim Brotherhood politics and lots of money," he told the network, "and that's a very dangerous combination. Everywhere in the world where that's been found, bad things happened."

According to the report, the city of Boston is concerned about neither terror ties nor the fact the bulk of the money to build has come from private individuals in Saudi Arabia.

In fact, the city's redevelopment authority sold the society the land for the mosque for between one-quarter and one-half of its true value, CBN reported.

"The City of Boston sold land to the mosque for $175,000," real estate developer Steven Cohen explained to the network. "This land was worth some place between $450,000 and $1 million. This is a religious group that can raise $22 million from contributors in the Middle East. Why do they need financial assistance?

"So many citizens are asking the question, why does this mosque, which is preaching such abhorrent views, and has access to millions of dollars raised in Saudi Arabia, why is this mosque being subsidized by the city of Boston?"

A resident of Roxbury has filed a lawsuit, the network reported, contending the land sale violates the "separation of mosque and state."

Who wants to bet that if the City of Boston sold a parcel of land to a Christian Church the ACLU would be suing faster than Clinton dropped trou with Monica?

Eeeeww boy! That's all we need is more Religion of Peace in America.

Every single Muslim, citizen or not, has GOT to be deported ASAP! Otherwise, our days as a free and prosperous nation are numbered.

Mumbles Menino (Democrat) officiated at the ground breaking ceremony two years ago.

Summer 2004, some Democrat city councilors caught on and questioned. They have been silenced.

The area that this is being built in was formerly a predominately Black community under a city renewal program (Model Cities) with the promise of rebuilding new homes. The city tore down or condemned the homes. Then sold many in Back Bay to yuppies (homosexuals). What isn't occupied by yuppies has been re-built by two local universities (Northeastern, Boston University Medical Center)for 'their' own use. Some Blacks still live there but the majority have been re-located outside the city. To be fair and balanced - They have built some cheesy townhouse developments.

Next big deal in that area is a hazardous bio lab...which is being contested by the yuppies.

I question the location of the lab in such close proximity to the Wahabies.

It's not enough that Islam's goal is to exterminate or enslave all non-Muslims'

It's not enough that a requisite to Allah's heaven is to contribute to this killing as a religious duty.

It's not enough that plenty of money is avaiable to Muslims to fund all of that.

Now, we have public policy that makes it easier for Muslims to accomplish all those goals, funded by the infidels themselves.

No wonder Muslims think we are saps.

From another thread:

..."...the Saudi Arabian Embassy in New Delhi is pushing - somewhat tentatively - India's Human Resource Development Ministry and Minorities Commission to set up new madrassas (seminaries) in India. The same reports claim the Saudi royal family has cleared plans to construct 4,500 madrassas in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka at a cost of US$35 million, to promote "modern and liberal education with Islamic values"...

Michael Moore may be right about one big thing--the US bowing in fear to the Saudis.

Look at it this way. If we know where the target is, that makes our job easier.

How hard would it be to grease the steps with lard and anoint all the door handles with bacon? Is there a muslim ritual for decontamination?

Islam has a great base of operations in Boston. There has been at least one high-profile FBI raid of a Muslim organization in the boston area.

Two of the airliners that played a role in 9/11/01 departed from Boston's Logan airport.

Now this Saudi funded Mosque made possible with an assist from a sympathetic local government?

Ironic that the heart of liberalism, the ideology Islam abhors, has played such a central role in Muslim terror plots...

I live near Boston. Nothing surprises me anymore. Now our "Big Dig" $14 billion project is leaking like a sieve.

Make that 2 of the 4. One American and one United flight, but we here in the gay state are so tolerant we want to help the Mooselimbs build their barracks at a discount so they can kill even more of us.

You need to read the Koran and study a little history. Islam is a religion in the same way that NAZIism was a religion.

I have no problem living and associating with people of any religion on earth, but Islam is a party of bloodthirsty world conquest, NOT a religion.

Open your eyes. The truth will set you free, even of your cowardice.
