Terrorist Crossing: Cover-up on the U.S.-Mexico Border
www.thenewamerican.com ^ | Vol. 20, No. 24 November 29, 2004 | SA

Posted on 11/25/2004 4:52:30 AM PST by Ginifer

What price will we pay in future terrorist attacks because of our continued failure to protect our borders? How many terrorists are slipping into the U.S. along with the millions of illegal aliens? No one knows, and federal officials are trying to keep this explosive scandal under wraps. In June, the Tombstone Tumbleweed, a local newspaper in Tombstone, Arizona, reported that on June 13, 2004, Border Patrol agents had encountered a group of approximately 158 illegal border crossers near the foothills of the Chiricahua Mountains. Only 71 members of the group were apprehended. According to the Tumbleweed, “among them were 53 males of middle-eastern descent.” An unnamed Border Patrol agent told the newspaper: “[W]e discovered they spoke poor English with a middle-eastern accent; then we caught them speaking to each other in Arabic.... This is ridiculous that we don’t take this more seriously, and we’re told not to say a thing to the media, but I have to.”

Border Patrol spokesman Andy Adame responded to the story with a categorical denial. “There were no middle-easterners in the group,” said Mr. Adame. “Every single one of them was Mexican.”

Shortly thereafter, as if to prove Mr. Adame wrong, another incident occurred. The Tumbleweed reported: “On or about the evening of June 21, 2004, agents from the Willcox Border Patrol station apprehended 24 members of a larger group of Arabic-speaking males located just east of the Pierce/Sunsites area of Cochise County. At least half of the males escaped capture and disappeared into the United States.”

A retired Border Patrol agent, who has been a longtime reliable source, informed The New American that a local law enforcement officer confirmed that arrests of Middle Eastern men in Cochise County had indeed taken place. The retired Border Patrol agent, who is still active in law enforcement, said that he recently learned of similar occurrences in New Mexico. It appears that the smugglers, known as “coyotes,” have developed a system of using Mexican aliens for cover. According to the retired agent, the Border Patrol has been “losing the Arabs because they were lagging behind the Mexican groups that were being led in by the coyotes. It seems that the Border Patrol grabs the Mexican group, loads them up and leaves while the Arabs lag behind and get away.” However, when Middle-Eastern aliens are arrested, they are immediately taken by the Department of Homeland Security and Border Patrol agents. Local law enforcement are told to be quiet about it for “national security” reasons. The Bush administration, ever anxious to put a happy face on our deteriorating border situation, does not reveal the national origin of those arrested.

However, the Border Patrol’s Andy Adame did release a very alarming footnote. Adame reported that from October 2003 through June 2004, Border Patrol agents in the Tucson sector alone had apprehended 5,510 illegals from countries other than Mexico or other Central or South American countries. Adame described them as “people from all over the world.”

I wonder how many thousands of MEs the klintoon admin graciously welcomed with open arms, voter registration forms(demo-commie) and public assistance? I am not buying into this leftist propaganda. The 9/11 terrorists, did they cross the border illegally? Freepers beware of the subterfuge of the DNC/Klintoon commie supporters. I wonder about this so called former border patrol agent. Why would he put intell/procedures out for others to know? Cover-Up? maybe he was thinking of OKC, Waco, and TWA 800 as starters. Those were ther real cover-ups in America under commie klintoon&reno. I wonder how many times this (BPA) voiced his opinion openly during the klintoon admin?

How Come We Can Have 40,000 miles Of Interstate, But Not 2,000 Miles Of Border Fence?

Read and you might understand why the invasion is so successful, we call it a Stealth Invasion. This is not about National Security; it is about the lack of a protective force on our borders, turf wars, the red tape to send these aliens back. The AZ border is the funnel because of Janet Reno and no one has corrected it. McCain and Kolbe should be screaming and they are not - they are part of the problem...WHY?

I'll tell you one thing. McCain should be screaming "bloddy murder" about the porous border with Mexico because this is going to be a major issue in 2008 and if McCain hopes to be President he needs to get involved in this issue pronto; the most porous border is in Arizona, McCain's home state. Hillary Clinton has already recognized this problem and is moving very quickly to make it the centerpiece of he campaign...in fact, she is moving to the right of the GOP, if you can believe that!

As I've said before - we're giving 80 year old Iowa farm wives the full body search at the airports, meanwhile this islamic terror pours across the border. I can't seem to get it through my head why we allow this. Islam kills everywhere it grows! and it's coming to a community near you.

I have written, e-mailed, and called all of the Senators, Representatives, and the President; Called talk shows, and don't know what else I can do. I ask our children to call, email, write, etc.

In one small Az town the Sheriff performs "safety checks" on ALL vehicles (because of profiling) and the citizens do not mind. He also puts quite a few illegals in jail until the Border Patrol can come pick them up. They are taken to Mexican border and released.

Everyone should be complaining to their representatives.

We lived in AZ for 25 years. I used to call his office to express myself. I asked for his stand during the Clinton impeachment. The only time I EVER heard from his office was when he wanted money.

He pontificates. He poses. And gives us legislation that IMHO keeps anyone who isn't wealthy from expressing their opinion immediately before an election. And with the "October Surprises" we don't need to be silenced. That's the problem now...too many are silent.

I agree with you that during the eight years of buffoonery called the Clinton Administration in which we were forced to endure, that our collective rear ends were held out as bait for terror. The result was 9-11.

The problem has been well defined now, and I'm not hearing anything from this current administration of any effort to remedy the problem of the southern border. We best not be on our way to another 4 years of silence, or we cannot boast that Bush did anything better than Klintoon about the issue.

They know about the problem. How they chose to (or not to) enforce our border protection is another issue. It quite possibly will take even more deaths of our US citizens on our soil for them to even act like they are interested in protecting our borders.

I'm not even hopeful at that.

I wonder how much sense it makes to blame the Clintoons for the illegals that are now crossing. I wonder if it makes sense to be in denial about the failings of the Bush administration to do anything about it for the first term. The truth be known, neither administration has accepted the responsibility to protect the American people from foreign agents who want to come into the United States. Political affiliation will not protect you when the terrorist strikes. Bush backers will die just as readily as the oppositon. They don't care if you are a Republican or Democrat, you're supposed to be an American.

This isn't new, in the 80s I was waiting to pick up a passanger at Brown Field, San Diego, and was having a cup of coffee at the airport bar where there were half a dozen border patrol guys and at that time they said that about 20% of the illegals coming across the border were asian and middle eastern.

In 1987 I was approached and offered $1000/head to fly chinese from a private airstrip near Guadalahara to a private airstrip just south of the US border because they couldn't get them past the Mexican road check points which I turned down but it sure demonstrates how big a problem it has been for a long time.

If they were going to pay me $1000/head how much was the total price to move them from China into the US and who was paying the bill? I would guess that it was the Communist Chinese Government!

Sense? Well one must look first at the cause and affect. 19992-20000 8 years of do nothing, but enhance the flow of illegals for more voter fraud.Terrorist attacks; Kobe Towers, WTC, TWA 800, OKC bombing, USS Cole bombing, Embassies bombed= 0 action. Klintoon enters office drug interdiction cut back 80%. The guard was dropped and now we must recover. 9/11 was on the hands of klintoon and crowd, though vehemently denied by the demo-commies. President Bush has accepted responsiblity and that's why we are pro-active against terrorism today. Yes, there is more work to be done and President Bush will stay the course in illegal immigration/combatting terrorism. (I do appreciate your response for it generates more concepts for dissemination/query. As to being an American, last time I checked my country is America, land of the free and home of the brave. I am a registered Republican, NRA lifemember, DAV,retired from the military and federal law enforcement. I am an American, no hyphens either. So what about you ????

I just get tired of seeing all these comments about how wicked the Dims are when the Republican legislators have contributed so much, possibly more, to the sad shape we are in as a country. Thanksgiving is a day when the illegal aliens are grateful for their families and friends, the many gifts of America and freedom.

According to the IRS, in 2001 individuals paying taxes with an ITIN, rather than a Social Security number (i.e. illegal aliens; the only individuals who have a need for or qualify for an ITIN are those without citizenship or lawful permanent residency) paid $305 million in federal income taxes. Calculated against 8 million illegal aliens, that’s a per capita federal tax payment of $38.13, and against 12 million illegal aliens, that’s a per capita federal tax payment of only $25.42. Since neither payment indicates earnings that would allow an individual to survive for one year, we can conclude only that there is persistent, massive tax non-compliance among illegal immigrants.

The millions of illegal aliens in America are very grateful this Thanksgiving Day for your contributions to their welfare. They will be eternally grateful for the "Title 8 of the US Code laws be damned" attitude that our President has.

The Middle Eastern men crossing from Mexico into the US in Cochise County, AZ. support President Bush quite strongly even though Kerry would have probably removed the word Enforcement completely from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement division.

Carter and Clinton were real buttheads. What is President Bush going to be considered when his term is done?

Good point and I have to agree some of the repubs need a career change. I was in Arizona back in the early 1990s. The area is very beautiful and I can't blame the ranchers for their attitude towards the illegals trespassing on their property. I would be highly upset myself and strongly uphold the(RKBA). If enough of us put pressure on the legislators things will change. The MEs are a serious problem. Did all the 9/11 terrorists enter the USA legally? I am not sure myself and if you can clarify please respond? Take care my friend, NSNR

IMO, he's got an ego the size of a football stadium, and still has major trouble reconciling his POW years as a "survivor" vs "warriors" who fought and returned, NRT.

His anger at and hate of America is well-known; ask anyone who's had contact w/ him on a daily basis, like Arlie Sphincter (LIBERAL-PA), both are nasty personnas.

Johnny "No Brain" McCain disguises it well, whereas Sphincter doesn't.

Don't give up. Don't expect a personal response, but keep at it!!

I called my congressman's office one day to express support, and actually ended up talking with him for over an hour when the secretary put me on hold.

They are listening, but they need more support. They're going to be slammed by all types of Illegal Rights organizations once they speak up...so they've got to make sure their ducks are in a row, and their supporters are a solid entity...and ready for a fight.

The opposition has a lot of freebies to lose, so they are a more vocal group. Your task should be to convince friends and family that they have a lot more to lose. Make it personal, and they will come around.

They really have no choice in the matter. If everyone that has an opinion, expresses it...

Givin up Thanks to Jim for this forum today. Happy Thanksgiving guys.

Obviously Border Patrol guy Marine Inspector has issues with Chris Simcox, so far the most reputable civilian homeland defense guy out there.

I know our government is unwilling to do the job and is intentionally underfunding border security while hiding behind the fact that they're "doing more than ever." They can skew all they wish; the fact remains that not enough is done about our border security. I propose that the money I would have had to provide for infrastructure support for illegal employees (after I and others remove them from the picture) be rechanneled to bounty rewards. Surpluses will easily finance any politician's pet programs once this gets rolling.

"Obviously Border Patrol guy Marine Inspector has issues with Chris Simcox, so far the most reputable civilian homeland defense guy out there."

I totally agree. Nothing like trying to "protect" your home turf. I am on the email list of the Border Control and they email me at least once a month about issues that deal with immigration. I also belong to FAIR and Numbers USA (and I get email from them quite frequently during the month about immigration issues).

I lived in California for quite some time in the past, and saw for myself all the illegal aliens who came across the border. A lot of the houses in the Santa Ana area have 20-30 people living in one house. I know a lot of people have "extended" families, but they are not living in the garage hiding out.

It is a total joke that we cannot get our elected Congress members to do anything about the problems with immigration. I constantly write to them (at least 4-6 times a month) and I get the same response: We appreciate your concern, We are looking into it, etc. Of course they don't want to do anything about the problem since they are in the back pockets of special interests, big businesses, and want the cheap labor to keep down the pay scale.

All you have to do is read the papers from the border states to see that immigration is NOT under control. Every day there is an article dealing with this issue. Fox news has had a special showing "on video" how people (including Arabs) were coming across the border without being stopped. If you google you can find other video that shows the same.

Marine Guy can protest all he wants, but facts are facts.

Can't believe I just said that.

Put those in prison who hire them in violation of our Immigration Laws and Statutes and also assess a large fine in addition! Simcox's recent statements are indicative of an unbalanced mind. They are symptoms of an acute neurosis. He must be stopped before more innocent people are murdered as were the two Mexican migrants workers near Red Rock, Arizona on October 18, 2002.

How nice of them to imply that Simcox is a raving murderer without quite saying it outright.

Considering the Aztlan source though, I read it a bit differently.

Sounds like a perceptive SoCal Native, who sees what is happening to his home. Maybe tried to do things "the right way" and was met with indifference and contempt.

So he decided to move, and met up with some like minded individuals to physically DO something about the problem.

Said it before, and I'll say it again. I've got no problem with the militia types. Especially when they're making the number of 'assists' to law enforcement that they are. You can't look at the results of Chris' actions, and say he is the problem. He's probably the only answer at this point.

Unbalanced mind. Yeah. Cuz the damn Invaders (and supporters) are driving us nuts.

Our greatest danger comes from illegal aliens and select legal immigrants all who are inflitrating this country and bledning in, waiting to strike.
