Power Struggle Russian President Vladimir Putin engaged in a decisive battle for Ukraine yesterday at the RussiaEU summit in the Dutch city of The Hague. In the opinion of special Kommersant correspondent Andrey Kolesnikov, by the end of the press conference all of its participants had lost their taste for life except the Russian president. The Russian president's advance plane with part of the delegation and journalists took off from Moscow for The Hague a little before the main flight. Of course, the fact that there was fog there had been known since morning. But apparently there was hope that it would dissipate.
Hope died when the plane began circling above the airport. This went on for about half an hour. As a result, it was decided to send the advance flight to Brussels, closer to the European Commission headquarters. At a military airport there we waited more than two hours for a decision on our fate.

You never know about people.
