My favorite memory was locking my dad's keys in his car (while it was running!) on Christmas morning when I was five. Serves him right for asking me to help carry in mom's gifts. He should have hidden them somewhere less troublesome.
In the end he had to break his car window and I learned all kinds of new words that day, most of them consisting of 4 letters and they made mom very mad when I repeated them!
We had a lot of snow that year...

I enjoyed your Christmas story from when you were a little girl, Pip! So your family didn't put up the Christmas tree until just before Christmas? Bet you all had fun decorating it together - and oh how must have smelled up the house, being freshly cut! We've had artificial trees for so long, I've forgotten how good a real one smells!

I was a pilgrim for Thanksgiving as I journeyed over hill and dale and made my way through the desert to be with family for a wonderful Thanksgiving ... returned home last night to find the cabin cold and the Mac intact, both waiting to be warmed up ... sure was good to be home again. Sure is good to be here at the Finest again.
