Every day the Toronto Sun, a high circulation daily newspaper, publishes a "Sunshine Girl" and "Sunshine Boy" in full color. The women are usually decked out in small bikinis, and the men span from local fire fighters to calendar hunks. It's a very popular feature of the Sun as so many residents cut out their favorites for keepsakes. My personal favorite has to be blue eyed George from Texas, check it out...

OHHHHHHHHH My favorite picture of Bush ((((((DROOL!!!))))) Thank you for the post!
Watching my president on the t.v. he gives me great peace and makes me feel safer. He's also yummy! This picture is one of my favs as well. Bless our president and keep him safe.
This is one of my favorite photos of our 'blue-eyed' president . . . he's such a REAL MAN!!!
Bush is awesome. He's cracking joke after joke right now in Halifax!
Bush said, paraphrasing:
Mr. Martin and I look forward to working together... to restore NHL hockey.
also,
He came to Canada hoping to meet... Poutine.
"Bush is awesome. He's cracking joke after joke right now in Halifax!"
Wish I could watch his Halifax speech; unfortunately, I'm office-bound at the moment!
Bush said, paraphrasing:
I ate Alberta beef last night. I'm still standing.
Bush said:
"It was once said about the Canadian troops in WWI: They never budge".
All that's missing is a good pearl-handle 45 cal strapped to his leg! He could have used a good Colt 45 down in Chile when his SS got separated from him.
The comment yesterday about liking the Canadians, especially the ones that wave at him with all five fingers, was priceless!
Oooooooh, he's dreamy! Ping, Louie, for your favorite cowboy.
I agree, he can always be counted on to lighten the mood and relax everyone. His speech today was right on the money.
I had the honor and pleasure of meeting my hero (President Bush) in person. And although these photos are great, he REALLY is better looking in person.
He really is a great guy, and I hope the people of Canada are starting to realize this!!
I can't find the transcript anywhere...
Essentially, Bush reminded Canadians that we were in the thick of WW2 as a pre-emptive action, because Canada was never itself attacked. He used several quotes from PM Mackenzie King that are identical examples of what Bush is saying now: that the country is not safe if we wait to be attacked.
Bush's speech was so well-researched that the hypocrits at the CBC are beside themselves trying to find out where he got all the quotes from. Bush came off as knowing more about Canadian history than most Canadians!
There was a discussion on CBC about the coverage of President Bush in Canada (or lack of). We get 8 seconds here and 13 seconds there, and not much more. When you get a chance to listen to him for 20 minutes or more, you really get a feel for the man himself. He's very endearing, and authentic when given the time. It was a very successful visit in the sense that it gave Canadians a chance to get to know the man behind the policies.
It seemed to me he got pretty good applause today. Makes me wonder if the other countries are as anti- american as the media tries to make us believe.
President Reagan won over many of his critics in his second term, I think President Bush is going to do the same.
His eyes are blue?
Im no where near being a flamer, but even I have to admit that Bush is a stud!
GWB cracked a hockey joke! LOL!
President Bush's speech was EXCELLENT.
He is so clear, so firm in his beliefs, and so bold to say what he knows to be right, regardless of how it could be received. He is a leader.
His delivery is so genuine and passionate that he could change minds just with his confidence.
His comments were far more gracious than the liberal government of Canada deserved. I believe he won over many people yesterday and today. He was truly a gentleman, showing sincere appreciation to those very kind and generous Canadians who were there to help Americans in need.
He truly makes his opponents look so small, because he is so big.
When he gets those stupid "Why do they hate you" questions, I wish he would just respond with "Because they don't know me." Then flash that big Texan smile.
Oh, that is great! Love that pic! Thanks :) Wonder if Mrs. Bush has seen that? Her hubby's a pinup :)
Wonderful photos!! Thanks for posting them.
That would be great!
Nah, he's a lumberjack, so he's OK. :P
lol!
He raised the example of a former prime minister, William Lyon Mackenzie King, who did not wait for Hitler's Nazis to attack Canada before sending troops to fight in the Second World War.
He quoted King's words directly: "We cannot defend our country and save our homes and families by waiting for our enemies to attack us. To remain on the defensive is the surest way to bring the war to Canada."
The president added: "Mackenzie King was correct then and we must always remember his words today... There is only one way to deal with enemies who plot in secret and set out to murder the innocent and the unsuspecting. We must take the fight to them."
He's definitely no girly man!
Neat thread, and great comments.
My wish and my hope is that the Canadian people get to know him and love him as much as the American people do. He is a warm, friendly, touchy-feely, honest and decent man. I am NOT ashamed to admit that I absolutely, positively adore him.....
Judy:
Thank you for your kind words.
In my heart, I truly believe that most Canadians share your beliefs and convictions. At least, I hope so.
I will NEVER forget September 11th, 2001 either.......
Great minds think alike! ;-)
he he he
My favorite Dubya pic too. BTT.
I thought cowboys were "out" as far on the post-modern sexiness-meter.
He seems to be a tad bowlegged. Maybe that's why he swaggers a bit when he walks (as opposed to staggers, I guess).
Believe only half of what you see and nothing of what you hear. Good words to live by. I'm sure we're not as hated as the media would like to portray, for their own evil purposes.
Laura sure is a lucky woman. No wonder she's smiling all the time!
Welcome to FR. I just wish the NHL would settle their problems now.
Read a line in a book last night about Bush. After meeting with group of Jewish leaders, one of them afterwards said to him: "Mr. President, I didn't vote for you, but if you had been president in 1938, I now think the Holocaust might not have happened."
I am going to deeply miss this having this great man as my President come January 20, 2009.
"I am going to deeply miss this having this great man as my President come January 20, 2009."America strong President is good! I do know Be strong!!!
Thanks. The date of our Inauguration Day is set by law as the January 20th following the date of the election (first Tuesday in November, every four years), Our next presidential election will be in 2008. We can only hope that whoever takes the oath of office on January 20, 2009 will be a worthy successor to this great man, President George W. Bush. I intend to support him every minute of these next four years, and will miss him when he retires.
Believe only half of what you see and nothing of what you hear
My gramma said that all the time when I was young. In my 54th year of life I tell my kids that.
