That was a very excellent essay. The Europeans find themselves in the position that our very own lefties in America would find themselves in if all of their wishes came true - everything politically correct, no God anywhere, only Muslim history taught in schools and no violent or legal action taken against any Muslims regardless of what they did.
America has enough sensible thinking people around who would not let that happen however Europe is beyond recovering their former identity - whatever that was. They are like empty beer cans floating down the river of Muslimism.

Good point, considering the left both politically and ideologically is running rampant and more or less unrestrained thru much of EUrope.
The blinded and hypocritical view of the EUro leftists like London Mayor Ken Livingstone who will set aside his pro-gay mantra so he can welcome terror lover Yusuf al-Qaradawi with opens arms, or the Spanish that will remove statues of St. James Matamoros (“the Moor slayer”) from view or King Ferdinand III from fiesta celebrations is mind boggling.
Combine this clueless self enforced Dhimmitude with the Islamic influx and their high birth rates, and you have a recipe for disaster. I think Sam Huntington illustrated the latter well in "Clash of Civilizations." Moving on from the scenario Huntignton described to Bat Ye'ors scenarios of self sensorship and promotion of all things Islamic over the indigenous in "Islam and Dhimmitude: Where Civilizations Collide" appears to be the track EUrope has set itself on right now.
However, this relies a lot on the fact that the bind and hypoctitical policies of the last few decades remain in force, and this is not so certain. The more they open their eyes (like the Dutch) and get to see what Islam really is, close up, and the more trouble the Koranimals cause, the more people will wake up and change.
I'm convinced of this when I remember some of the things the locals said to me when I visited places where large concentratiions of Muslims live with non-Muslims, such as India, where Hindus and Muslims have been living in close quarters for generations. Most Hindus know exactly how evil Islam is and sayings like "never trust a Muslim" come from the lips of everyone from the "chattering classes" down to "the great unwashed." I hope that Europe too will wake up, before they have to endure the kind of conflict with Islam and bloodbaths India has seen.
As other posters have noted... if an attack anything like 9/11 happens in EUrope, I seriously hope the EUro Muslims will look back at the period culminating in the Dutch mosque burnings in 2004 as the good 'ole days.

I will regret the destruction that the Muslims will do to the great cathedrals. I am sure they will give them the same treatment they gave the famous Buddha statues a few years ago.

I would not want you to sacrifice your son nor would I want to sacrifice any of my family. But the United States has always come to their aid in times of crisis. We sure have done a lot to repay them for helping us in the Revolutionary War. Their genes sure have been watered down since then.
Of course this would be sort of like WWII. We would be fighting a common threat.

I do, too. Sometimes today's enemies were yesterday's best allies and the other way around. But we all seem to band together when faced with a common threat. When these terrorists really start hitting the European countries like they have us, then we will all band together as brothers and sisters again in a common fight. That is what we really need in order to remove these monsters from the earth.
I agree with you and I think it's already happening in a few countries. I don't wish bad things on anyone but I hope France and Germany get the message!
I think the euros are realizing whats going on with muslims in their countries. The politicians playing to the vocal minorities ignore the timid majorities and are setting themselves for a beating when someone steps out in support of an "un-popular" idea that the majority supports but the minority abhors like immigration controls. Shining example is Belgium and Netherlands is the 2nd chain reaction. My guess in one or two election cycles there will be swings of tremendous proportions ergo Le-Pen will begin having some success in france (or if he dies and someone with better charisma and ideas comes they will start surging). We all know the Block in Belgium will eventually become a majority either in 1 or 2 election cycles for sure. Also Netherlands is having an accelerated wake up call.
My thoughts are not as dim as the demographic experts that predict the extinction of western civilization by low birth rates. For one I m optimistic about fear and the effect of it stimulating people. Ergo have more kids. Also I m guessing living in a mixed environment provides incentive for propogation in order to secure continuity of someone like you. For example I remember watching news about Israel and they were talking to a guy whos fifty or so about faimilies and he said that when he and his wife were thinking about kids they thought maybe one or two but later decided to have more ergo four because of terror and factors steming out of that direction. I m optimistic about Russia improving they are trying to re-introduce reforms supporting large families and revive the tradition of large families. They are paying monthly per kid now to help people have more kids. There was something I read about how krasnoyarsk region had an improvement of about ten percent in the birth rate lately (center russia). Also enforcement of immigration etc. lately has been a good sign. Hopefully there will be a wave of late (better then never) baby booms in places where they are necessary.
Thanks for an interesting post. We may have a baby boom after our troops get back from the wars - pray that it's not too far in the future.
