The immigration-related provisions might have been removed from the Intelligence Reform Bill. If the bill passes, illegal aliens could continue to get driver's licenses and could continue to use foreign IDs that are only of use to illegal aliens.
Please contact your representatives and tell them: don't pass this bill unless it includes those immigration-related provisions.
You can send free FAXes here.
And, here are some phone numbers:
Sen. Collins(R-ME) at (202) 224-2523
Sen. Lieberman (D-CT) at (202) 224-4041
Rep. David Dreier (R-CA)
Glendora 626-852-2626
DC 202-225-2305
Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL) at (202) 225-2976
Rep. Hoekstra (R-MI) at (202) 225-4401
Rep. Harman (D-CA) at (202) 225-8220
(According to KFI's John & Ken, David Dreier might have found religion: due to Political Human Sacrifice, he might have supported these immigration-related provisions.)
Duncan Hunter tanked on this bill today.
This would include President Bush for without his pressure, this bill would never have passed.
If President Bush does not do the right thing about illegals (deportation, no amnesty, no ID cards, no licenses) he will hurt the Republican party immensely.
I believe the Republican leadership is looking 10-20 years down the road when, they feel, hispanics may become the largest 'group' in the USA. Therefore, they are pandering to the Hispanics now, at the cost of the safety of the USA.
I am getting a quesy feeling about Bush!

How many more of these threads must all of you Buchananites create?
"How many more of these threads must all of you Buchananites create?"
Is something wrong with Buchanan? Do liberals realize how childish they sound when they can only argue by calling names that are supposed to be offensive?
Our politicians need to hear from us. They need to know that we are tired of this constant influx of legal/illegal immigrants and their aspirations of a one-world order shouldn't trump our need for a protected nation.
A Republican lawmaker tanked? Nah! There must be some mistake.
Republicans have not an ounce of testosterone. We see this over and over and over and over again.
What a bunch of wimps!
How many more conquista replies must we read to our posts on a forum that supports the rule of law and the United States Constitution? If you love Mexico so damned much, move there. Quite trying to move that whole damned nation up here.
Yep, sad isn't it. The party doesn't seem to have one person with moral clarity left in office.
Lets see... You're asking me to call my "Representatives" to ask them to pass a bill that will force me to register in a National ID system that will turn me into the property of the Government like a cow or sheep, is that it?
Yeah, I'm feeling really stupid and sheeplike these days; I think I'll run right out and do that tomorrow.
Don't worry; they'll run out of fingers and toes to count with, eventually.
I called my reps on this first thing this morning!
I have already suspended contributions to the Republicans pending what happens on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Now I may have to add Immigration to the boycott.
If they think they can remain in power by being weak, they have another think coming.

Bump.
My vote for Michael Peroutka is looking better and better.
That the best you can do, twerp? How pathetic.

Until people like you are exposed for the Anti-American, Anti-conservative policies you push! YOU are a minority on this issue, another thing you have in common with Illegals. Too many of us have had our lives altered by this PC policy. But others do agree with you...Paul Begala, George Soros, Nancy Pelosi. Do you like the company you're keeping these days? I've got better things to do and won't bother to read your nonsensical reply, just like you refuse to see the facts.
Shame on you.
Limbaugh was furious about the immigration reforms being left out of this bill. He reminded his republican coherts that there are more independants registered than democrats. Republicans, you're next.
