A Marine who needs your prayers

A former student of mine who is serving in a honor guard unit in D.C. was attacked by two men on Saturday and stabbed in the stomach. The aorta which passes through the stomach and a major vein was damaged. At one time he was not expected to live. He was given 11 units of blood to survive.
I talked with his mother today. He is recovering and will be moved to a private room from ICU. His mother said today they can feel the prayers of praying people.

Was he in uniform when it happened and has he been able to give any descriptions of his attackers?
