Well done.
no such animal.
politically correct INtolerance - that's rampant - that's the 500 lb gorilla in our living room.
Time to ship him back to the jungle
"In Melbourn, several Australian kindergartens banned Santa Claus from their year-end Christmas parties because they feared they might offend someone. So they replaced Santa with a clown."
.................................................
John Kerry was in Melbourn? What a guy.
Happy Ramahannakwanzmas!
Here's a prime example. "they feared they might offend someone"
Well, excuse me - I'm sure a clown in place of Santa "offended" someone - probably several someones. and "offense" is and "offense" is an "offense." there's nothing that I know of that makes one persons being offended anymore legitimate than another's. So let's stop this PC c*ap right now.
Put up your trees - your signs saying Merry Christmas, get a group and go downtown and sing Carols, etc - and when someone says No, can't do that, someone might be offended. Say, Well, that offends ME. And I count just as much as any other citizen.
and hand them the bill of rights on Christmas - see
http://www.rutherford.org/articles_db/commentary.asp?record_id=312
and the phrase from the Constitution that spells out the the GOVERNMENT shall not make encroachments upon religion, not the other way around.
Good job, poster!
I was a kid in the 50s and 60s, and loved the Christmas season! It was exciting being in the plays, singing the songs, from "Frosty" to "Oh Little Town of Bethlehem", having kids moms bake goodies to bring in for the class and such. Sometimes there'd be a kid or two in school who didn't celebrate Christmas, but I don't remember any of them being too upset, or their parents bringing suits against the school district.
Sadly, those times seem to be gone for many of today's kids.
This would really confuse secularists, who would find themselves celebrating on a religious holiday, and merchandisers, who have after-Christmas sales.
Merry Christmas, Everybody
One for the ping lists!
Bravo.
It's time to say:
IT'S CHRISTMAS, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!
What happened before the holocoust? Were outward signs of Judism banned?
Moral Absolutes Ping.
Comments later - more on the destruction of Christmas.
It's really rampant. I noticed it coming on a few years ago. Well, probably more than a few. But now - I never see one single decoration or word that has any connection with Jesus whatsoever, except a few peoples' yard decorations.
Not even any Santa Clauses, but that doesn't bother me at all.
Let me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.
(looks like the war on Christmas bothers even people who aren't Christians!)
Merry Brandybuck Everybody!!!
