'A parent's worst nightmare' 9-year-old girl sexually assaulted in her bedroom
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 12/9/4 | Jaxon Van Derbeken

A convicted sex offender broke into a San Francisco home in the Ingleside district and raped a 9-year-old girl in her bedroom in an hourlong attack that ended when the girl's mother walked into the room, San Francisco police said.

The man, police say, fled on foot and was chased by the girl's father, who at one point struck him with a 2-by-4. The man continued fleeing through several backyards and was captured by police and identified as Roberto Gamero, 36, of San Francisco, police said.

"It's a parent's worst nightmare,'' said San Francisco police Deputy Chief Morris Tabak of Sunday's attack. "It's pretty horrific. All of us who are parents, it sends chills up your spine.''

Gamero, a prior sex offender who was on probation for an earlier domestic violence case in San Mateo County, . . .

Feminists insist that it is about power and violence, not sex.

Certainly there are cases like that, though I couldn't say whether it's most or few. Some, though, are the result of a horny guy who won't take "no" for an answer. Still, it all comes down to force, though the subject of this particular form of force is sexual.

One wonders how the feminists feel about statutory rape perpetrated by a woman? (A few teachers come to mind) Is that sexual assault all about power over and violence towards women? I'm sure many would sincerely claim it was the minor boy's fault.

Breaking and entering goes "beyond" not taking no for an answer. It is seeking out a victim.

Of course it does. I was referring to "date rape" or even rape of a spouse. These are not, typically, predatory in nature, but a lack of self control that becomes force.

I agree up to a point, but we're on the Internet right now so...without it where would we be?

There is also a component (in rape) of feeding off the fear and terror of the victim. It is as good as an orgasm for the perp, and that is why they often get off on tormenting their victim first.

Remember the little girl in Salt Lake who hid under her bed for HOURS after her sister was kidnapped. Kids can get extremely compliant when they're terrified.

Personally, I need to remind my kids of the intruder rule when I get home (we haven't discussed it in a couple of years). My kids know that if someone comes into the house they are to RUN and SCREAM. If they can't do one, do the other no matter WHAT the intruder says. They know that it only takes one scream to get dad to come running, and that I've shot intruders before (long, painful story).

Of course, if someone were going after my kids, my wife would probably beat me to them (and though it pains me to admit it, she's a better shot than me).

Sex offenders should never never ever be released from prison. Period!

These are the ones who really deserve capital punishment!

I think that kids become hypercompliant because their attacker threatens their parents "Scream and I'll kill your Mommy."

What you are doing is the best thing in the world "Scream and Daddy will come save you." :)

I'd rather not have to pay for a lifetime stay for these scum. Drop 'em in a meatgrinder. Feed what's left to the pigs....

Gamero, a prior sex offender who was on probation for an earlier domestic violence case in San Mateo County, now faces charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, child molestation, false imprisonment and burglary stemming from the attack, which shocked veteran investigators.

I wonder how long before he's on probation for this one too!

Idiots! Absolute morons in charge of our judicial system!

You gun nuts are crazy. EVERYBODY that makes us furious do
not need shooting. Dying yes -shooting is to easy.

I want this boy skinned..not enough to kill him but enough
to hurt real bad. Then I want him salted down real good and strapped to the front of a MAC truck (Peterbilt or Kenworth if you prefer).

He should be driven from town to town where people have to pay to hit, kick or stomp him. One hit, kick or stomp per
customer(this money will go into the community chest for pot holes or whatever)..what a fund raiser.

Anyway, use your imagination. Maybe he can be strapped up
for a fund-raising target shoot at the end.

I want him to suffer before death.

I would very much love to have a watch dog. Some type that is gentle with children and protective. The only thing is, my husband and I can't stand all the dog hair. My sister has two dogs and before you know it, you're covered in it. It gets all over the clothes, that drives me nuts. Is there a breed out there that sheds lightly? :)
