Yesterday, Rep. John Conyers chaired a congressional forum in which verifiable evidence of vote suppression and compelling indications of vote manipulation in Ohio were detailed by panels of witnesses. I would like to know why republican representatives chose not to attend this important forum.

C-SPAN and several radio stations carried the forum live. Concurrently, mainstream media covered stories with far less relevance such as Scott Peterson, Martha Stewart and Michael Jackson. While I remain baffled by the media silence, I am incredibly disappointed by the republican absence in this critical moment in American democracy. This may well be the least partisan yet most important issue facing our nation today. We cease to function as a representative republic when we cannot guarantee that the will of the people has been upheld.

I urge you to participate fully in the investigations into the 2004 election and the process to reform our voting systems. I consider it your duty to help protect and defend the integrity of our votes. Please enable us to retain faith in our democratic process, a true patriot would do no less.

A couple million DOLLARS?

Not surprised, even though Al Sharpton got less than $100 grand.

Because they do not want to give this nonsense concocted by a few demagogues and credence whatsoever, and rightly so

Thank you for providing the link to respond to Representative Conyers. I sent the following note:

Representative Conyers, and other notables:

I saw part of your "hearing" that was not a hearing on C-SPAN yesterday. It reminded me of what Mark Twain said about Wagner, "Wagner's music is not as bad as it sounds."

Your hearing raised a question. Are you as stupid as you appeared on television?

I look forward to your response.

Have a nice day.

/s/ John Armor

I'll let y'all know in the unlikely event that I receive any response.

Maybe it's time you get past the denial and accept the fact that Bush won and stop trying to overturn a fairly decided election. No election is perfect. There will always be glitches, most of them by voters too stupid to know how to punch a hole or press a button. But you people have exaggerated the problems out there and blown them all out of proportion because you are all mentally diseased and cannot believe people did not vote for the utterly vile John Kerry and his far left politics. Get over it troll. The election is over and Bush won fair and square. Can't accept that? Move to North Korea where you won't be bothered by little annoyances like the voice of the people electing our leaders. I imagine North Korea is more to your ideological liking anyway.

Who needs a rope when I have a perfectly good bible belt?

Throw it over the shower curtain rod... and... swing!

And by the way, spare me your "witnesses." You can get people to say anything, especially people with an agenda against Bush. These are just more Denialcrat Kerry voters trying to figure out a way to overturn a justly held and decided election. GET OVER IT OR GET OUT! I'M SICK OF YOU PEOPLE TRYING TO UNDERMINE OUR DEMOCRACY WITH THIS SLANDER! IT WILL BE HEARD BY OUR ENEMIES. But then you DemoDummies never did give a crap about emboldening our enemies or sending them exactly the wrong message. Time to get some therapy if you people can't accept the will of the people in this election. Seriously, you're all deranged.

Gee...the only "witnesses" I saw at this so-called forum, were college kids who didn't want to wait in lines for 2 or more hours because they were hungry. The rest were lwayers and activists with obvious partisan objectives.

The biggest objections I heard was about long lines and waiting. If Democrats don't like long lines, think what may happen if we have open-voting...as many precincts won't know what to expect in turnout as people go where ever they please. At least with assigned precint voting, the administrators have an idea what to expect by voter-rolls and registration.

As is often the case...the areas with most of these problems are Democratic districts run by Democrat administrators. When is someone going to point this out.

I am incredibly disappointed by the republican absence in this critical moment in American democracy.

Indeed! I saw some of Conyers' hearing this morning on C-Span 2 and I was appalled. There was a stream of leftist "witnesses" making suggestions like taking back the election right now by getting red state electors to change their votes -- or to vote "proportionally". These whiners all believe that the election was "stolen" from them in Ohio.

There is nary a Republican voice raised about the rampant leftist voter fraud all over the country. Once the election is over, they just drop the ball.

All this gives the impression to the impressionable that the leftist have been cheated. Pubbies, speak up!
