I don't know but I do know that this building and it's management company doesn't need the bad publicity. The nspikes will be put back before we know it and the hawks will rebuild. It'll give them something to do ;-)

Bingo! A nuclear family and not on the government dole. Now if it was a substandard nest built by a government contractor for the female hawk who was hand fed by a welfare dept employee every day and Pale male only showed up to fertilize more eggs and occasionally kick the crap out of the female or the chicks, then it would have stayed.

well, the RATS are already all over NYC...

Given the way people vote in NYC, I'd be forced to conclude that the Pigeons are as well...

This is a co-op building. In New York City, we refer to the co-op as "The Building", short for "the co-op" or more importantly, the Board of Directors of the co-op. The Board sets policy and I suspect this was a Board decision and may not reflect the feelings of each and every Shareholder. For example, when refering to the House Rules of the building, we say "The Building does not permit dogs in the front elevator", "The Building requires ...", etc.

But it does sound funny, now that I think about it.
Also, I guess you can say that the hawks have flown the
co-op!

Apparently some of the snooty building residents didn't like the sight of occasional bird droppings on the sidewalk and complained-wonder how they'll like being shat upon by pigeons now?

We have a building that does research and thinks

Well, that explains it. Buildings are not known for brains, being the ultimate blockheads: Built out of blocks, taking up an entire block.

Could be but Kerry supporters are more likely to have bats in the belfry than hawks on the ledge.

As usual the 'pale male' doesn't sit around waiting for a government solution and goes about his business being the bread (er, mouse, pigeon)-winner, while his mate gets busy with the housework (rebuilding) to prepare for raising their young, without the need of any government social workers, food stamps or federal housing paperwork.

Of course this doesn't stop the leftists from hand-wringing and insisting that the government "do something" to help this newly homeless family. Not surprising that the leftists cause the crisis in the first place.

Guess who is on the board?

Paula Zahn's husband is head of the co-op board, so she must live in that building.

I have to agree. City Hawks probably help keep the pigeon population down. Maybe they ought to bring in some owls to get rid of all of those rats!

Thanks for the head's up. If doesn't surprise me that these so-called soft-hearted liberals would do something like this.

I'm glad to see this matter getting the publicity it so richly deserves. It shows just how little concern they really have for the issues they 'hawk'. (pun intended)

Dan
