Funny, they know what proteins it has on its surface, and now know what it looks like.

A cursory web search shows tunneling electron microscope images of the virus, and shows what it does.
There are images of teh virus rupturing Killer T cells (Immune system cells) and spreading, there are images of it rupturing red blood cells.
You really can't be that ignorant of the subject, can you?
No, the existence of HIV has been confirmed through electron microscopy.
And funny, the images I can show you of what an electron microscope can show you doesn't look like 'mere topography' to me.
Your insistance that HIV and AIDS is a hoax is dangerous and the height of ignorance.
Your statements have so many hoples in them that it is truly maddenign to know where to start.
HIV has been isolated despite your claim to the contrary, HIV has also been imaged.
HIV has been shown to damage the immune system.
I'd say you're a troll, and one with a dangerous agenda.

Looked through his posting history, and he seems convinced that AIDs and HIV are a fabrication and a conspiracy.

I checked the history before I responded to you.......people like that give me the willies.

The implication that AIDS would be minimized except for the coicidence of "pre-existing" disease factors, means that some here are close to being in agreement.
Societal taboos take a long time to establish themselves. Normally they are a result of conjecture and experimentation. We get good ideas and bad that way.
The experimentation in the case of AIDS is being done for us. Wily observers have noted that limiting sexual partners and remaining faithful to one's (faithful) spouse is a cure for this disease, which can be cured no other way.
Apparently some of the old-time preachers were right all along.
P.S. The word "pre-existing" should be taken out and shot. It means existing.

I knew a doctor in LA when I was there. He was a captain in the army in VN. When he came back to the World, he chose research as his field. And just about the time he thought he had reached the end of what he could do, AIDS came along.
He chose AIDS to research. When I met him, Magic Johnson had just been diagnosed with "the virus" but according to my doctor friend, in order for Magic to be given the meds that he was given, he had to have "full blown AIDS."
In our discussions, I asked him about it...he said first of all that he had "killed a lot of rats" in his research of AIDS, and second of all, that it was very difficult to GET AIDS from a woman, even though it was easy to GIVE it to a woman.
So I'm thinking at the time that either the woman had to have a LOT of partners, or her immune system was the pits to begin with.
AIDS is an autoimmune disease, like arthritis, and CFIDS. The difference is that AIDS can be transmitted...

But it's the guys who claim it is a hoax that are truly scary.
They are in the same category with those who say, "C'mon, Baby! This won't hurt a bit!"
