Local school officials in a suburb of Houston, Texas, are investigating how it was possible that a school police officer handed out calendars to students that featured explicit details on satanic and sexual rituals for every day of the month.

Parents in Pearland are demanding answers, according to a news report on KHOU-TV.

The school police officer who handed out the calendars was supposed to deliver a positive anti-gang message to the students last Monday, according to the report.

"September 20th is a 'midnight host' whatever that is," said one unidentified parent reading from the calendar. "You should have a blood-type ritual. September 23rd is the fall equinox – you should have an orgy. Activity group sex, any age, any sex."

The father did not want to be identified because he feared his daughter would be punished.

"They shouldn't be teaching the kids, at 12 years of age, a calendar of satanism. It's just not right," he said.

Pearland school officials say some 25 students at the junior high received the calendars.

"It clearly was a mistake," said Renea Ivy, Pearland ISD spokesperson. "We don't want it to happen again and so – it was not done with malice, it was not done to promote satanism in any way on the campus. It was just a mistake."

The officer said he got the packets from a anti-gang training course he took. Officials say he neglected to take out the adult material. The police officer remains on duty pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

Who else besides a religious group would be interested in warning against satanism, and who else but the government would be stupid enough to fund it?

Religious groups wouldn't bother to warn against Satanism unless there were a call for donations attached. Since the report didn't mention the fundraising angle it probably was not from a religious group.

Unless, of course, Satanism is real and a real danger. Then religious groups might speak up. But otherwise they'd be too busy calling for donations.

Shalom.

WhyisaTexasgirlinPA?

OK. Why. Since I moved to the Capital Area in 2001 from Houston I've been wondering much the same thing. PA is beautiful, but the people are nuts.

Shalom.

Christians are responsible for most of the (working) help that the poor get, helping the sick, visiting those in prison, aiding the widows and the orphans, etc. When hurricanes hit Florida the Christian groups were there before the Red Cross. Christians are active supporters of the military. They run schools. The list of the ways they do good is endless.

Many Christians are good. Many are evil. The same can be said for any faith including Atheism. Good deeds do not excuse evil. Hitler was a Christian, so was Mussolini. They both performed many good deeds for their followers.

Christians as a group have a history of persecuting any who do not believe their dogma. They have given us the most destructive war in American history by their scapegoating of drug addicts, whose actual numbers are so small they are insignificant.

Too many people are living in a bubble these days. They refuse to see what is happening to our freedoms. The constant warfare between the Socialist left and Christian right is tearing this country apart.

I think both sides need to stop this lunacy and put America first.

OMFG!!!

"Now HOW did that Satanic ritual get on that calendar date....I'm SURE I meant it for OCTOBER, NOT September..."

Hey, Renea Ivy, Pearland ISD spokesperson...it WASN'T a mistake..it was INTENTIONAL, CALCULATED, and APPROVED! Satanism IS MALICE...and advising a "blood sacrifice and orgy" can ONLY be interpereted as PROMOTION!!!

Now aren't we GLAD the ACLU made sure no CHRISTIAN references are possible in Skrewels?

Can we PLEASE start with the "Tarring and Feathering"....NOW...PLEASE?!?!?! Before it REALLY IS too late?!?!

Strange goings on in Pearland. One has to wonder where the Houston Comical is on this story. Out to lunch until they can figure out a way to put a better spin on it I suppose.

Although the Houston area, like so much of Texas, has been invaded by folks that don't quite understand the Texas thang, there's enough of the old school still around to make it uncomfortable for those that would indoctrinate our youngsters. If they/we will just do it.

Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out?

You mean like Americans should look to our own actions as a cause for Muslim anti-American sentiment sweeping the Muslim world? [And into our tall buildings.]

Muslims aren't the ones taking our freedoms and turning Americans against each other. They are just another group of religious fanatics persecuting others who do not believe their dogma.

Christians and Muslims are just different cults of the same faith. Cult warfare is the demon fanatics of all faiths worship...IMHO.

So be it! Do you think for a minute the puppet masters will back off if believers cave? Tyrants will push as far as they are allowed by the unwashed, and no more. You're solution is what?

Are there anymore pictures of this calendar?? I'm surprised none of the parents have scanned it and e-mailed it out at least to the papers.

My impression, from the tv spot, was that he had handouts for the students (I would imagine there are 600 to 700 kids in a Middle School) - there were 25 that had this additional information inside the booklet - I do think this was a horrible error, but not done intentionally

Put America first, Restore the Constitution.
The Constitution is the most important document in the history of mankind. If any document was inspired by God, it is the Constitution of the United States of America.

No other "Holy" book of any faith grants freedom for all of God's children.

It looks (I could be wrong) as though you are not a believer in God. So I'll explain it carefully.

There is not a culture war because those who believe in God (notice I did not specifically say "Christian") and His moral absolutes, which have been the foundation of this country since its inception, are forcing their views on others.

There is a culture war because atheists/secularists/homosexualists/leftist/socialists (as currently personified by the Democratic Party) have been assaulting the tenets, practices, beliefs, moral standards and meaning/purpose of the legal system of this country (and other countries) for several generations.

Another point: Hitler was not a Christian. Hitler. Wasn't. A. Christian.

If Mussolini was one (I don't know much about him), he obviously wasn't an observant or sincere one, therefore he was a phony. Doesn't count.

Strawman about Christians and WOD. Merely silly.

The history of Christians persecuting others pales into insignificance when compared to Muslims persecuting others and Stalinists and all varieties of Communists persecuting others.

"Christians and Muslims are just different cults of the same faith."

It sounds as though you are saying that any religious believer is a fanatic who wants to wage war on others.

That is a false belief you have there.

"They shouldn't be teaching the kids, at 12 years of age, a calendar of satanism. It's just not right," he said.

You would think.

I liked that line too. I guess the guy didn't want to get all judgemental or anything.

I'm a Deist...Same as my ancestors who fled to New Amsterdam to escape Christianity.

There is not a culture war because those who believe in God (notice I did not specifically say "Christian") and His moral absolutes, which have been the foundation of this country since its inception, are forcing their views on others.
That is exactly why there is a culture war. Everyone wants to force their own dogma on others!

Another point: Hitler was not a Christian. Hitler. Wasn't. A. Christian.
He was a Catholic who attended Mass at the Marine Chapel in Berlin...Why does that bother you?

If Mussolini was one (I don't know much about him), he obviously wasn't an observant or sincere one, therefore he was a phony. Doesn't count.
The same could be said of King James. He was the Adolph Hitler of his time who murdered all the Jews in England. Does that mean the King James Bible doesn't count?

Strawman about Christians and WOD. Merely silly.
It may be silly, but it's a fact. Just look at the history of the WOD.

The history of Christians persecuting others pales into insignificance when compared to Muslims persecuting others and Stalinists and all varieties of Communists persecuting others.
That excuses it?

It sounds as though you are saying that any religious believer is a fanatic who wants to wage war on others.
No, many believers of all faiths are good and decent people. But...Why is it that fanatics always wage war from a religious base?

That is a false belief you have there.
Could be, but I doubt it.
