Will have to listen to Greta this evening

(instead of Animal Precinct -- some of those folks deserve serious jail time for their cruelty)

Talking heads:

The seriousness of the crime and the hurt that Scott dealt to Laci's family after the crime was commited that warrented him the death penalty. Not the crime itself.

"All I have to say is that although Kullyfohnia almost never executes anyone, they will execute this fellow. A white boy from a good home hasn't got a chance -- too many will feel he should be executed just because he's a white boy from a good home."

More than that they have to execute him to show that this country is fair, just as many in here are doing. Fear reigns supreme. PC is destroying this country. It don't matter to some because when the time comes they will have escaped back to our mother continent and back to civilization - Europe.

Someone on another thread said the DUers despise the redhead and particularly were "offended" at the reference to Connor as "Little Man".

She's on at 8 p.m. MST. No computer at home right now -- using the one at work (not cheating my boss -- only get paid by the billable hour -- who's very tolerant of my new rescued puppy I keep under my desk).

I still don't understand why the family tie between Oliver and Matt Stone isn't discussed more. They both produce such similar tripe, it's surprising that FReeper libertarians don't celebrate both producers.

I missed most of the conference but did see Dan Abrams praise these jurors to the skies.

Many people suffer from guilt, even when they know they have done the right thing. Not only jurors, but the attorneys and even judges. I would have no difficulty in sentencing the guy to die, I would even volunteer to administer the needle.

I stand corrected. My "definition" came from articles talking about the CSI effect... the articles asserted that juries wanted physical as opposed to circumstantial evidence.

Mea culpa.

Have to agree; the three that agreed to be interviewed were very articulate.

While nothing good can come of a murder, I can think of one (and only one) good thing to have come from the media circus surrounding this trial: The complete collapse of the career of a smarmy, self-obsessed, sleazy, high profile defense lawyer. The "performance" (if you want to call it that) of Geragos was so pathetic, so unbelievably bad he should be disbarred. As it is, I doubt he'll see another high-profile case. So again, nothing good omes of the murder of Laci and her child, but at least there's one less POS lawyer clogging up the screen of my TV.

Perhaps women like Amber will do better at checking out their dates more thoroughly in the future. Maybe not.

Look, I did not watch all the proceedings but I do remember that one of the jurors was removed for talking to Laci's brother and another juror was acting whacky.

As for the evidence "beyond reasonable doubt" is what the jury found...so be it.

Yeah...the Soviet system was different...lots!

Jutin Falconer was removed because he failed to abide by the judge's instructions and talked about the case. He didn't obey the rules.

After the OJ nullification, a lot of us lost faith in the jury system or at least saw it tarnished.

These jurors are saying the right things and are impressive. They are restoring my faith in the system.

I totally agree, I was just saying something along that line on another thread.

Cool. Maybe now we can get back to car chases and shark attacks now.

I agree. I prefer either "gawkers" or "rubberneckers" as a substitute for "lookie-loos".
