Former presidential candidate Howard Dean says Republicans must go
WISTV ^ | Dec 12, 2004 | Chantelle Janelle

As Sunday's guest on "Meet the Press," former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean shot some pointed remarks at Republicans.

Dean said, "These people, who are running this country, are running it in a short-term way. Racking up enormous deficits, enormous future national security problems for us. We can't afford Republicans, we have got to get rid of them as soon as possible, because they can't run the country properly."

One of the candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination in the 2004 race, Dean is now thinking about running for chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

This is funny. Dean is still washed up and put out to dry by his own party.

What freakin a$$ clown.

This is from a person who couldn't run a presidential campaign properly...

Liberal Democrats worrying about deficits and spending? Has the world gone mad?

Not only that, but many so-called "conservative" Republicans seem to not give a damn about deficits and spending. So, you may be right.

Or, it's just business as usual in D.C., where the party in power spends like a drunk sailor, and those in the minority can only whine about it.

Gasp...a tolerant, open-minded compassionate perfect demonrat wants a ONE-party country (think ussr, china, cuba, n. korea)??? (On the other hand, I wouldn't mind if the demonrat party folded, but I'm an intolerant, closed-minded hateful imperfect conservative).

I may have missed something but didn't this guy lose to John Kerry, Wes Clark, John Edwards among others? And he is relevant how?

"Sorry Howie, but 51% of the country disagreed with you!"

Oh, it was MUCH more than that. Don't forget to add in all the Democrats that voted against Dean himself in the primaries! LOL

What president balanced the budget? You are going to hear a lot of that kind of stuff in the next few years. The GOP better get it act together and fast.

The democrats, Hillary in particular will be seen as creditable on the issue of government spending since Bill Clinton presided over a balanced budget. Yea, I know that it was the Contract with America GOP that really balanced the budget, but the Democrats and Hillary will take and get the credit. Particually with the GOP spending like drunken sailors .

Does Dean mean that it's necessary to kill all Republicans, or just to force them to leave the country?

These people seem to have trouble with the concept of a two-party system.

There are several different kinds of deficits, each requiring a different kind and intensity of worry. The absolute worst is when conservsatives are in charge of spending liberals money.

indeed, that's what I would worry about. Apparently also, her voting record isn't as bad as you would think from this Marxist, I know the fine people at FR know the truth, but a lot of swing voters probably don't.

"I'd love to see him become head of the DNC"

Amen.

Let's begin the healing process, and put an end to this division.

This time, he's got my vote.
