If you are able to get translations I would appreciate a ping. As a rule of thumb, when they shoot them in the head, their internal organs are immediately harvested. When they shoot them in the torso, their eyes are removed. China has a thriving body parts industry, and they execute people for economic crimes.

So is FR now supposed to become OGRISH.com or something? How about a little context. Most of us do not read Chinese. Or are the images here simply for the joy of looking at them?

Can we trade? We'll take care of punishing the girls (commensurate with their crimes) and they can do this to Scott Peterson.

I suspect in this case "criminal" is rather loosely defined.

I thought we were supposed to be for equal rights? If a man would be executed for this crime, why not a woman?

Didn't they have the International Woman's Year or some such thing in China a few years ago and didn't Hillary pontificate on just that sort of equality?

The Chinese are the prime current example of the use of naked state power against the population.

I must have missed the media coverage on mass executions by headshots of young American women. Link?

I agree. I dislike the Chi-Com regime as much or more than the next right winger, but if it was for something like drug dealing or homicide or even grand theft (the person being executed--to say the least--looked like she "cleaned up well" for a girl living in Red China), then I salute them. I also thank God that at least somewhere in the world does not have such a laughingstock of a Criminal Justice system as we do, with criminals languishing for decades on death row and getting unlimited appeals...

Now if it was for something that we consider perfectly okay and legal to do here in America, that would be another story. But a regime should have the right to deal with the criminal element (read legitimately criminal by the standards and norms of most of the world) in any manner they deem reasonable....

No, I don't think the US has state sponsored executions by firing squad.

Gary Gilmore was executed by firing squad in Utah around 1977. It was the landmark case which reopened the death penalty in the US.

Besides, firing squads are generally more humane than lethal injection, gas chambers, electrocution or hanging.

Conservatives should, in all cases, want to limit the power of the state. I will forever fail to see how allowing the state the power to execute is in keeping with that philosophy.

Good point.

I think Amnesty International does regularly condemn the Chinese for having the highest rate of judicial executions in the world. The EU couldn't care less and most UN members use genuine (as opposed to undergarment hat) torture as state policy. But I don't hear our government nor the management of Walmart and Target making much of a fuss either.

There is nothing to compare between China and US, believe me. China could execute people who had never even killed or wounded a chicken. I am all for death penalty for those really killed people.

I once read that in China they also send a bill to the family for the cost of the bullet. Using a .30 caliber rifle round is real over-kill on these executions. Why the gore, unless they were doing it as a matter of policy, to blow a head clean in half. A .22 cal pistol bullet would also do the job, with much less drama.

Still wonder whats these people did wrong. Maybe draw a cartoon criticizing the government?

These public judicial executions are very common in China. The government does it as part of a campaign to assert law and order or to publicize what the PRC calls an anti corruption campaign.

It's political as the campaigns come around the time of a party congress or when leadership changes. It also is a not so subtle way of reminding everyone who is in charge, the party.

The reality is most lawlessness and corruption is at the top and run by the party. The little guys are shot as a diversion and as a way to tell the people to not complain out loud.

Most Americans don't care as we love cheap toys and cheap electronics. My neighbor goes to China all the time as he is an importer of Chinese made goods. He says Chinese business men will tell him in confidence of these abuses of power by the government but he should not go public as they would be shot for telling him.
