I think Amnesty International does regularly condemn the Chinese for having the highest rate of judicial executions in the world. The EU couldn't care less and most UN members use genuine (as opposed to undergarment hat) torture as state policy. But I don't hear our government nor the management of Walmart and Target making much of a fuss either.
I sympathize with your Liberterian view, but Death Penalty would fall under Ensure Domestic Tranquilitiy--its in the constitution.....

There is nothing to compare between China and US, believe me. China could execute people who had never even killed or wounded a chicken. I am all for death penalty for those really killed people.

These public judicial executions are very common in China. The government does it as part of a campaign to assert law and order or to publicize what the PRC calls an anti corruption campaign.
It's political as the campaigns come around the time of a party congress or when leadership changes. It also is a not so subtle way of reminding everyone who is in charge, the party.
The reality is most lawlessness and corruption is at the top and run by the party. The little guys are shot as a diversion and as a way to tell the people to not complain out loud.
Most Americans don't care as we love cheap toys and cheap electronics. My neighbor goes to China all the time as he is an importer of Chinese made goods. He says Chinese business men will tell him in confidence of these abuses of power by the government but he should not go public as they would be shot for telling him.
No. Conservatives should, in all cases, want to limit the power of the state to those functions that are a legitimate function of government. It's hard to comprehend a better function of government than to allow the state to execute those guilty of vicious felonies.
Until we know something about the background of these pic's, they are just inflammatory pictures.
Exactly why is that position untenable and stupid? Fill me in on your reasons. (I noticed that in this paragraph you use the term, "federal government", but in the next paragraph you use the more ambiguous term, "state". Is that distinction the basis of your position?)
I contend that justice from time immemorial demands that murderers be put to death by a just and civil government. The state's obligation and duty is to execute justice against wrongdoers such as murderers. This proper function of the state is a completely different function than the education of one's children, which is the duty of family government. Thus, there is no inconsistency or hypocrisy in the position.
Conservatives should, in all cases, want to limit the power of the state. I will forever fail to see how allowing the state the power to execute is in keeping with that philosophy.
You are apparently, by your own statement, completly immune to convincing, but go ahead and convince me of the rationality and morality of your position.

I would have thought lethal injection more humane than firing squad..I'm curious, please explain?
