My parents have been married for 35 years. My in-laws for 37. My wife and I for six.

Never once have either of us seen our parents use physical violence or intimidation toward each other, and the worst "violence" in my household is when my wife occasionally gives me the silent treatment.

I don't know anyone who comes from a similar background who has ever seen or experienced that kind of behavior.

The only people I know in that situation have been kids from broken homes or people who were shacking up.

And I do know of one catamite whose sodomite used to beat him on a regular basis.

My personal experience also backs the studies. I was happily married for a long time until my wife died of cancer. We never had any physical confrontation. After my second relationship turned serious, the woman would become physically violent if she did not get her way. I restrained myself, never reported the incidents, and sent her packing. Fortunately, I'm in a serious relationship with a wonderful woman that does not exhibit this type of behavior. I suspect that woman against man violence is grossly under reported.

My ex-wife was violent and when I had finally had enough, I called 911. When I did she ran outside and smashed herself in the face with a rock to make the false claim that I was a batterer. The police arrived and I was questioned by 2 male officers and she was questioned by a female officer. Her story fell apart completely when I showed the officers the rock she had used.

I'll never forget seeing her hitting herself with that rock. I said "Baby there are better ways to commit suicide than with a rock!"

How do they know the men aren't making up their abuse so they can get out of domestic violence charges when the cops are called? You shouldn't just take a man's word that he is being abused unless there is evidence because many male abusers make up baloney stories to avoid punishment for the domestic violence.

Cops take the word of the person will visible injuries because it proves their claims. Anybody can make up any baloney story so marks, injuries and bruises usually tell the true story about domestic violence.
